We could have used those 75 mil somewhere else (like the midfield) and we could have bought another young CB and give him more chances for the long run. I don't care about plusvalenza.

Any other young defender would have been sent to the bench and then on loan + option just like the rest of them. The only reason MDL got a chance here is because he was already established as captain of Ajax and starter for the NT.

I don't have a fetish for teen players. Gleison Bremer from Torino is good enough for the long run for example and he is 24.

Are you saying players who have already proven they good are more likely to get minutes right away? Mind blown.

That bloody anti Allergy agenda in each single post.

Actually, no, it's more like an anti-Italian agenda more than anything else, since they are basically the rednecks of world football in terms of dealing with young players. It doesn't matter who was/is in charge, young defenders below the level of De Ligt wouldn't have been given the time of day. De Ligt knocked out Allegri's side, then came to Juve.

For some reason, if we get 100 million for De Ligt, I am ok with losing him.

Like I said, he's no Nesta or Maldini and is never going to be one.
The game has changed and will never be able to produce defenders like that again. In saying that, MDLs last season at Ajax was huge, not only as a defender but as a leader. In today's football I don't think anyone at that young age was producing the same level.

Should he be performing better than he has? Yes. Has the team been dysfunctional since he has joined? Yes.

100m is a lot and could help fix other areas. My only fear is that as a club we always seem to fix areas and weaken others.

MDL leaves today...who replaced him? Who is the future CB leader for us?

There are a few names, but there is indeed a dearth of top quality CBs.

Pau Torres, Badiashile, and Jules Kounde come to mind. There are also some Italian talents, but they're just prospects at this point.

Could be next summer, but it will happen eventually. We're not an elite club and Raiola is his agent.
Matthijs de Ligt future boom!

NRC reporting this sentence by his agent Mino Raiola during the interview "said by letting it fall between nose and lips" about the Dutch centre back

"Matthijs de Ligt is now ready for a new step - he thinks that too". #Juventus
