I just don't like the fact he hoofs every other ball that he could intercept and pass to someone else to maintain possession. It's like he's afraid of making a dumb mistake so he uses all his power to kick it away as fast and far as possible. That way he hit Bonucci's arm which in another game could have been a pen.

He needs to be told and explained to calm down and keep his head up. If he fixes that, he'll be one hell of a defender.
I’d say he’s playing it very safe for now because of the pressure he’s feeling, which is good for now. Better than try to complicate things and cost us games. I know he’s a good passer, it’s a matter of time before he lets go of the nervousness once and for all.

Bonucci 20yo he was playing for Treviso, when he turned 22 he was playing for Pisa, when he turned 23 for Bari, he had to be 24 to get his first national cap. So do the math. At the age of 19 MDL was bossing CHL.
Why are you comparing both the players career graph ? I am basically comparing their playing style.

In their playing style a ball playing defender who has a good passing range but does have his concentration lapses and does not impose his physical presence on the opponents
i dont recall seeing de ligt as passive or unwilling to impose himself in last seasons CL. He is also a far superior tackler to bonucci.

He is also nowhere near as good as bonucci in long passsing

What a fucking flop, how many matches more do you need to see that Demiral is clearly better? One? Maybe two?
We nevere conceded with Merih starting and he also made a tackle that aroused Badass for a week.
