If they don't pay what we ask them keep him.

He may have his heart set on Bayern now but a lot can change in a year.

If we return to being competitive in Europe and the team has a good season with good recruitment and he feels like a leader here he might feel even extend.

Lowballing is not negotiating bro. It’s arrogance.
So it was arrogance from Barca as well when they offered 30-32 mio for Lewa? Okay then.

Might be why Bayern keep letting the price go up because Barca have talked about the players desire to join in the media and how Lewa himself have been talking/crying that he wants out at all cost. If he kept his mouth shut I think Bayern and Barca would've reached an agreement already.

Thats still hilarious that they think the expiring contract of a 34 year old is worth 5-10 million less than a 22 year old De Ligt.
Numbers are fairly easy.

World class strikers are way harder to find and in much bigger demand. Someone who scores you 40-50 goals each year is pretty much always gonna be more expensive than a defender, even if the striker is older and has a shorter contract duration.

And I still want to see some evidence about the 70 mio offer from the German media, else I'll take as fake simple as that.

Lewa is on his last year and indicated he’s not playing for Bayern anymore. He’s also 33 years old. None of these is true for De Ligt. Sure he wants to go but the relationship is not as broken as Lewa-Bayern.
But you picked the wrong example anyway. Of course Barca is arrogant. There was a player that had a contract and they literally fired him. They also are forcing De Jong to reduce his salary in a very heavy handed way.

So if the 50M ask is true, and Barca offered 45M,, they just gave up over a 5 million difference?

70 with Bonus included was just rejected.
Wasn't it 60 with bonuses that was rejected?

That's how I read it

I think the problem is we're looking for Barca to pay around 50 mio euros up front, they of course refuse that because of their bad economy. They want to pay it in 4-5 installments probably, and as they still owe us money for the Vidal transfer I definitely understand why we're not willing to do that.

50 mio up front is a lot of money I get that, best would probably be to settle on them paying that in 2-3 installments.

He’s not going to do it for another 7 years though
True, but you get my point

World class strikers are very rare to find/buy. And when you finally have one, you're of course reluctant to let them go easily.

Imo we should let him go, mostly because I think the bridges are burned.

Lets hope Juve and Bayern can agree on a good price for both, 60 mio is of course too low from us I fully agree.
