I don't disagree with you but I believe our intention was always to pair MDL with Koulibaly. Now that De Ligt will leave it's not unthinkable for us to get 2 CBs. The chances of that being Bremer + Koulibaly are obviously very small.

Danilo will be our starting RB + Bonucci's last season doesn't give us any guarantees in that department. I'd be very, very hesitant to go into crucial parts of the season with (again) Rugani and an unproven player like Gatti as our back-ups.

Bremer and Koulibaly is super strong. Definitely worth selling MDL if it secured those two.

What makes you think we will get both. Bremen is going to Inter once they sell Skrinar to PSG. On the other hand there is no cb who i rate higher than Koulibaly.

I think the intention was a left-footed CB but indeed a partner for MDL.

I agree it wouldn't instill much confidence but I'm afraid that's reality now unless we manage to sell Rugani too, which is my best-case scenario.

Selling De Ligt might actually help us in adding other pieces if we get a big chunk of cash and are able to get Koulibaly. For me it has to be Gabriel next to him. A strong left-footed CB.
