I love these silky smooth sort of CB's. Cool as ice on the ball, slick defending/positioning, not afraid to play the occasional long ball over the back line and actually succeeding...

Love these kinds of CBs. I feel if we got him to lead the backline, Chiellini can be our no nonsense Montero...he would fill that role nicely with the pain, but less red cards.

hummels is the definition of a german defender..calm with brains, he can run and give a good long pass, plus his offensive skills (good heading). he would be perfect for us combined with a lb

TBH, I wouldn't move Chiellini back to CB unless we get Hummels. We need our CBs to play the ball now since teams put 10 men behind the ball this year (we are back :touched:).

I would be all-in on this signing if only Hummels was more aggressive, hustled more. He reads the game very well, yes. But lots of times I see him jogging into areas where he should be sprinting to mark the opponent. I guess if he did that he'd be pretty much perfect lol. Maybe as he matures though.

That's what we have Chiellini for. Hummels to read/direct, Chiellini to get unleashed like "the dogs" in call of duty.
