Of course, you're going to spin this and put your own biased narrative to it (he did it to protect the young player). I look at it as he damaged and dented his confidence. Either you trust him all the way through to the end or don't play him at all.

Also, the subs were late, and there was no need to play Sandro the relic at all. Consistently playing Chiesa out of position is criminal - once he allowed him to switch, he scored.
