Just hope that we can somehow use this ‘pragmatic’ win against Lecce as a rehearsal for the upcoming Atalanta and Sevilla games because we sure won’t see any better than this anyway but at least scrapping our way to a similar result might be our only realistic chance…

Believe that.

Regardless who our coach will be, Id gladly see the departure of a lot of these players. For some of them time is up due to old age, injuries, while several others were never good enough. If we start another year with Cuadrado and Sando at FB positions, rellying on and hyping our youngsters to make the difference, Pogba's cameos every few weeks, we will see the similar shit show. It is essential to hire competent sporting director in order to rebuild this team instead of burning another manager. Bonucci, Cuadrado, Sandro, Rabiot (doubt he ll extend), Milik, De Sciglio, Paredes need to be shown the door. Gatti, Fagioli, Miretti, Soule, Kean and Illing are good enough for the bench. Loca, Vlaho, Bremer, Chiesa should form the backbone of the team. Could be busy summer ahead.

But biggest wage bill in Italy. Really can't solve everything in the summer but hopefully we sign a good sporting director.

Very true, and if we don’t address all of that then whoever the manager is will struggle to achieve anything like what we demand.

The worrying thing though is we seem to have Arturd, McKennie and Zakaria heading back to us…

At least get half of these lot off our books. It would reduce the wage bill significantly.

Hopefully some EPL team takes Mckenny off our hands, for Arhur mutual termination of contract. But yeah, too many mediocre players left as a legacy from the previous directors. With high expectation at Juve but lacking in quality to compete at a top level (Scudetto and deep CL run) I see this as a deterrent for any good coach. Its a high risk low reward type of situation.

We're actually 3rd, with fewer points than at the same stage last season. I call that progress :baus: :numnum: :b81:
Same points as last year, actually, and almost identical GD.
After 33 rounds last season we had 63 pts with GD 50:29, while this year we have 63 pts with GD 50:28.

In Coppa and in CL we did worse this year, because last year we made the Coppa final and we passed the CL group. El is incomparable, because we didn't get to play there in 2021/22.

So, yeah, no progress unfortunately.

and this is all with full season Vlahovic, recovered Chiesa, huge investments in salaries of Pogba, Paredes and Di Maria. No progress at all, as much as we did silly mistakes last season we do it this season.

Dude just no.
We spent 3months before the world cup without Vlahovic (pubalgia), Chiesa out till 2023, Di Maria played like 3-4games, Pogba out till 2weeks ago. Milik out 2months after the World Cup (came back in April)

.........
Imagine if we really had everyone fit at the start of the season pre wc.
and even then
if in the past 5 games we did 5 w instead of 3L 1D 1W we'd be at 74points with Napoli being 76
We fucked every chance possible in this fucked championship while playing kids like Fagioli,Miretti,Iling,Soulè and I may forget some more

Apart from the legal issues which will carry onto the next season.
