The only time I have seen the club stick with the coach during this kind of form is Arsenal with Arteta two years ago.

They didn't have a win for over 2 months, players were trying to mail it in on their 3rd coach in a row, but the club said fuck that, get in line, he is staying.

Seems to have worked out for them, but a serious talk needs to be had with the players by the management. Otherwise they will continue to mail it in and the sack is just being delayed for nothing.

i think that’s a bit of a push as a comparison. Arteta was clearly trying to implement a style /philosophy / plan that was difficult for the team to grasp.

Allegro has no fathomable strategy other than “wing it”. Therefore there is no purpose to sticking with it and hoping it changes.
The only reason is they can’t afford to do it.

But not sure whaf type of players Arsenal had and if same can be applied here.
We lack players with leader characteristics.. or strong mentaly players.. which seems the way to make such approach successful

pioli was almost fired too by milan. same for luis enrique back in '14. it happens, but nothing guarantees a success. i think allegri completely lost it and for him it's all about the money at this point. an other khedira, ramsey situation. not hard to see a patter.

Juventus won't change the coach, at least not until the World Cup break and the backing of majority of the management. By then, it'll be clear whether the club is still competing in the Champions League & for the Scudetto.

Yes there is clause that we can have get rid him of him cheaply in the event of failure to achieve certain objectives.

Yeah, but they never had runs like this. They were not as good as they expected, but Arsenal were relegation form. From Nov 8th to Dec 22nd had 6 losses and 2 draws. Only wins in EL GS

Then another run with just 1W from March 18th to May 1st.

I disagree about the money part. Ofc he cares about it, but I don't think he 'lost it'. Same way Ancelotti didn't lose it after Bayern at Everton and Napoli. I think it's a mentality and fit issue. They need to sit down and talk about the differences, the infamous team meeting. I don't think the situation is unsalvageable, but they need to stop rowing in different directions, everyone at the club and have a bit of humility to admit mistakes, Allegri included.

For the twitter thread, that's a list of mistakes in general from the club, unless that person thinks Allegri had something to do with hiring and firing Sarri etc.

Again the question is has he lost the dressing room or not? The timing of the interview also seems slightly perplexing where he has absolved himself of any responsibility and blamed everything on players and injuries.

That interview is strange by the way, he said that the plan is Pogba Paredes Rabiot in the middle and Chiesa Vlahovic Di Maria up front. That was before the USA tour.

Then why did we try so hard to sell Rabiot? Also we were aware that Chiesa is injured. And above all Paredes was not here. Fast forward to after the USA tour.

Pogba got injured, Rabiot deal failed and we got Paredes. Did we try to get someone to cover for Chiesa and Pogba?

These are not entirely on Allegri, the other clowns are also guilty. All the people with authority in the club are pulling in different directions and this is where Marotta is missed where he made sure everyone was pulling in the same direction.

Arsenal didn't have them either. It was a very similar situation to us now.

A long time legend coach got fired because players gave up, a soft coach came in and replaced him, got some results initially, but players realized they could walk over him and gave up there too.

Arteta came in, won 2 trophies immediately, but as soon as difficulty hit again they gave up. Some players were left over from the previous regime, some new older players and some new younger players. They didn't have a real captain (Xhaka), but had a 'captain by committee' where players voted for the captain, it was a complete mess.

Once the players realized they weren't going to sack him again they started trying again, management backed him and changed most of the team, now they have a promising future.

Not saying same should/will happen here, but management and coach were hand-in-hand. Here we have Agnelli who is pro-Allegri safe to assume, I think Cherubini too. Nedved is his biggest enemy and Arrivabene probably would fire him too but cares too much about finances, that's his job. And Allegri who probably has some hard feelings from the first stint, feels hard done by the first sacking, now the same guy who sacked him still hanging over his head etc.

Either Nedved or Allegri have to go IMO.

Agresti said from the start Rabiot is in Allegri's plans but the offer was too good to refuse for the club and they took the opportunity.

Last sentence is nail on the head. That 15/16 season start was even worse imo because we had such high expectations after 14/15, but we never heard a peep out of the club about any unrest, imminent sacking etc. Same at Inter now, very little drama.

Marotta had his flaws too, but man he is a TRUE director.

This is so funny to me, that in football players would prefer the first type it seems. In the NBA for example the Pep/Klopp/Conte control freak type almost doesn't exist anymore. It is all about freedom, very little set plays and if there are players call them, it is almost a requirement for the coach to be hands off and deal more with tactical adjustments and man management instead of micro-managing.

Players demand it and when I think about it if I were a player I would prefer the second type, to have more freedom, to think on my own instead of looking over my shoulder after every play. Not saying either is right/wrong, just an observation because Allegri alluded to this in his interview too:"Now players don't think, they obey". Could be that the players spoke up and wanted more structure, that's why he said it possibly

Carrera? I dont remember him as a coach can someone pour some light please?
In any case - I rather we get a motivator than a pure tactican as we need it way more.
As things stand I rather have T.Robbins than Allegri.
