We've been through this multiple times already on this very forum, but for the last time Allegri is not Pirlo. Top coaches like Max have earned time by showing the ability to build winning teams. That is the reason why Agnelli and co gave Max a four year contract while Pirlo only got a two year contract.

No one is arguing that our start to the season wasn't terrible or that consequently our final results aren't disappointing, but again if you don't see the progress we've been making as the season has progressed then it's difficult to have any sort of reasonable argument with you.

I'm sure he spent his whole two year sabbatical studying pressing patterns.

Or more likely doesn't consider it a viable tactic in most games, at least not with this squad.
Why did Pirlo get sacked?

Why did Pirlo get sacked?
You need to ask Agnelli and co that question, I'm not briefed on the reasons for those decisions.

Perhaps they felt we needed someone with more experience to guide us through this more difficult period? Didn't see the team making the kind of progress under Pirlo that warranted another season? I'm sure that there were a multitude of reasons for their decision.

Guys I found some interesting data from the game. Please discuss

Wow our heat map is impressive. It shows progress in longitudinal ball retention and a good amount of intensity overlaps in the half-spaces.

And RUS and his friends were in full meltdown mode after that match calling Allegri a pussy and a coward and saying his tactics were shit in that match. Changing the story now Lol
Even if Allegri wins the treble next year these nincompooops will say that Sarri and Pirlo laid the foundation for his success. Max can never win with these clowns, but he doesn’t need to.

Allegri: "The positive from today's defeat is that you all will stop saying 'Juventus can win the Scudetto'.
Yes, after his comments.

Just another nonsense from allegri's cultists.

Can someone tell me what the endgame is?

Will it stop if all the members start gating Allegri?
Next season. He's not going anywhere, i wont' stop to criticize him until Juventus won't start to play good and will stop to have 30-40% possession against Sampdoria, Sassuolo, FIorentina, Empoli and so on. This team is the flagship and hegemon of Italian football, not Naples soccer. Wanna play catenaccio? Fine. Then build a perfectly counter-attacking team for it. We don't gegenpress, we don't dominate in many matches, we don't have a success with a fast counter attacks, we don't play tiki-taka.

Notice how the space behind Dybala is empty though. No wonder he was subbed

You'd think in The Year of Our Lord 2022 people still wouldn't consider Possession a good sign of performance.

There are numerous examples of this being a bad idea or of great possession clubs having consistently bad or average performances (Man U this year for example). And yes, if you're absorbing pressure intentionally the opposing team, positioned for most of the match outside your box but in possession, is going to be taking shots. Yes, they are going to being passing more than you. And, because you're hitting them on the counter or breaking with longer passes, your pass completion percentage is going to be lower because while you're trying to make decisive passes in attack, their passes are short back and forths between players trying to break your line.

This is nothing new and yet some people still don't get it. Or they choose not to consider it since it goes against their little hatetrain.

Some perspective. For all the injuries we have, all the squad depth issues and player issues (I know RUS loves Sandro and thinks because he starts for one of the worst Brazil squads in the last three decades [hint: he doesn't Marcelo does] that somehow means he's elite but it doesn't) we stand with only one more league losses than Chelsea has in the EPL. We have the same amount of goals scored as #4 in the EPL, Arsenal, with ten goals allowed LESS, we have 8 more points than Conte in Tottenham (with one more match played than them) with 4 less goals scored and 8 less goals allowed than them. Tottenham and Arsenal also both have eleven losses, we have six. Almost half of each of their losses. We have more points and a better record than Barca at #2 in the Lol Liga with 3 less goals allowed and 9 less goals scored with them only having one less match than us. Is this crazy? In a more free-flowing, less defensive league than Serie A, they should have more goals scored and are #2 in their league.

Nobody is happy with 3rd or 4th in a vacuum. But to act like we're 4th right now, one point out from Napoli in 3rd, with Chiesa hurt, with McKennie hurt, with Locatelli hurt, with Ronaldo abandoning the project after the first match of the season and ZERO time for us to find a suitable replacement, with Bonucci having injuries issues, with Sandro regressing so poorly Pellegrini is the defacto starter is not just being stupid it has to be somebody being purposely dishonest. There is no way people can carry on like they do, knowing all the things I just listed are facts, and act like 4th or 3rd isn't better than missing Champions League.

And thats the crux of it. Some of these posters would PREFER nay WANT to miss Champions League so that Allegri can catch heat rather than make Champions League during this horrible run of luck season. They want that. They would actually celebrate us MISSING Champions League because they could dance and be happy that Allegri failed.

Some supporters those ones are.

1) Where did i say that having a big amount of possession automatically grants you success? Do you even read my posts?
ss.jpg

2) How can you compare Juventus' league position with other COUNTRIES leagues?Just how? If anything you need to compare Juventus 21-22 to Juventus 20-21 or previous Allegri's seasons here. What's next? we going to guess on how many points this juventus would have had in the EPL?
3) Alex Sandro was first choice LB for Tite in qualification, what the fuck are you talking about again :sergio: and if he wasn't injured, he would have played for more matches.
йцу.jpg

4) just another blatant lie. NOT EVEN A SINGLE MEMBER of this forum will be happy with 5th place finish. Allegri's success = success for everyone, Allegri's failure = failure for everyone.

If Allegris quote about not blowing up this team and bringing only 2-3 reinforcements is true, then that most likely also means not too many players leaving. Dybala and Berna are pretty much confirmed to be leaving, you probably can pick at most 2-3 others and that'll be it :p
Dybala and Berna for sure, then maybe Chiellini, Sandro, Arthur, Morata. Rabiot is in his last year of contract so he could be shipped out as well, hopefully. Id say 6 players, out of which 5 that start most of our games, that is a lot and would qualify as rebuilding the team. Which is a long overdue.

1) So you're linking images of possession to prove what point? What's the point? You've done it basically for the last few weeks if not longer. What's the point of posting the possession?
2) I said "for some perspective" and pointed to the current positions, strength, and stats of equaly big clubs. Nobody said how'd we do in EPL or anything. It is for perspective on how other clubs are performing and not a comparison. Nice strawman.
3) Looks like we're both wrong since Telles has been the defacto starter for Brazil since the start of 2022. And Lodi was the starting LB for Copa, Sandro started in WC June-November WC Qualification while Telles was hurt. So Sandro is 3rd on the Brazil totem poll behind Telles (when healthy) and Lodi.
4) Just like how NOT A SINGLE MEMBER of this forum is happy to not win the scudetto. However, some members realizie losing Chiesa, Locatelli, McKennie, Bonucci for long periods, Ronaldo after the first match had a direct impact on our team and we've since clawed our way back into CL and maybe 3rd. So we all agree thats something to celebrate?

1) That often Allegri prefers to give the ball away against midtable or worse teams and it turns into huge amount of shots against Juventus which fortunately these teams were unable to turn into goals. One thing is to build your gameplan to sit deep and try to counter against against Man City, Liverpool or Bayern, another thing to do the same against Sassuolo or Sampdoria.
2) It's an absolutely pointless comparsion. Just stop.
3) Because Sandro has had COVID, then was injured and now he needs to get his physical form back. Telles has played only when Sandro wasn't available :sergio: Lodi's last match for Brazil was in Copa's final in 2021, his last qualification match was on 11/18/20

4) Last season people didn't give a single fuck about the injuries that Pirlo's squad has had and were asking for his scalp by the end of that season. Nowadays they see the problem in it. It's hypocrisy.

Personally, would rather have won the scudetto instead of the absolute EUROPA LEAGUE fodder that is about to win it this year.

But popping champagne for 4th place will suffice. Surely it's better than when we won the scudetto with Sarri. Rather win 4th place with ALLEGRI.
