You have to realize that the squad has gradually gotten worse over the years and hopes of dreams of Miretti or Ake, being good in 2025 is not our MO.
That's the job of feeder clubs like Atalanta or Sasuolo.

Nowhere am I advocating that. If our coach in Serie A cant reach top 4 while also developing players (not talking abour primavera players) to reach top level, then its a useless coach! We obviously need a coach who can build a team and get promising players to flourish and reach top level with us, as we cant keep buying Ronaldos, Higuains and Vlahovic'es. We need to take players the last 10% to peak, thats what a good coach does.

Getting back to being a top 4 team will take time even if we do all the right things. We need to take it one step at a time. First we need to actually become the top team in Serie A again.

Once again. IT DEPENDS ON A COACH. There is a reason why Sandro - Danilo were first choice fullbacks for Brazil NT during qualifiers and why Rabiot is being called up by Deschamps. Would you buy Grealish, Rodri, Henderson, Minamino, Matip, Robertson etc. for Juventus? I'm pretty sure no but Klopp and Pep has asked to sign them because they suits their models of play. Who could have imagined that Salah and Mane would play like this for Klopp? The football systems of Klopp, Pep, Heynckes and any other top coach allows some players to reach a new level, to play below their talent. Here, TODAY, not 5-6 years ago, the WHOLE Juventus squad plays worse than it CAN and SHOULD, the physical form of Juventus players are fucking garbage but you have only one reason for this - Rabiot, Sandro and Arthur but not the coaching staff.

Don't disagree. However I just think it's a bit premature to make any conclusions about his ability to build squads based on these 8 months he has been back here. I think there has been enough progress this season to remain positive about the future. I know we see football very differently and have different criteria as what can be classified as progress.

At their peak form Rabiot, Cuadrado, Chiesa, Vlahovic, Dybala, Locatelli, Arthur, Chiellini, Bonucci, Sandro, Danilo, you just don't understand one simple thing - if a player A is playing bad for Juventus it doesn't mean that he will play bad for Liverpool, Atletico, CIty or Madrid. At his peak Krasic was the best player in the world. Just look how that turned out. It's such a non argument.

We can only guess. In the last season Tiago has been called as a flop of the year. He needed whole season to settle in in Liverpool and now he's playing incredible.

I think everyone obviously wants to see better results going forward. I doubt anyone would be happy with 3 more years of Allegri if it meant 3 more seasons with similar results compared to this one.

What progress?

Defensively we're much better than at the start of the season. Especially visible in how much better we are able to limit the dangerous counter attacking opportunities of our opponents. Those 2vs2, 3vs3 or even 4vs4 situations have become much rarer. Usually at least one of our midfielders seems to be defensively on the right side of play when we turn the ball over. I'm personally very happy that I don't have to witness the situations where all our mids are out of position and are desperately trying to run back (if they are bothered) as regularly anymore.

The intensity of ur play has also improved at least to some degree. By that I mean how we challenge for second balls, the aforementioned running back to help the defence and how we at times move the ball faster.

Don't get me wrong, there's still a lot of room for improvement, but if you can't see the clear improvements we've already made then this seems like a pointless discussion. All those improvements have led to much more consistent results in the past 3-4 months.

As seen below, in Serie A there is a clear downward trend in the amount of goals we've conceded.

If we look at all our games this season, then the downward trend isn't quite as clear but there's still a small one even with the Chelsea trashing included.

I don't understand your graphic. I can imagine 2 clean sheets against Venezia and Genoa but we still have to play Sassuolo, Lazio and Fiorentina and it won't be easy. But even if we will not concede in all 5 last matches then statistically this would mean that we conceded 0.63 goals per game in the 2nd half of the league.
