Juventus is 4th just because all other teams are playing WORSE - Inter -10 points, Atalanta -17 points, Juventus -3 points, Lazio -6 points, only Milan has a surplus of +5 points and Napoli with +1 point

Nah, its not that black and white. Max got fired after finishing 1st, Sarri got fired after finishing 1st, Pirlo got fired after finishing 4th. Now Max will finish between 3rd and 4th and imo likely will not be sacked. If the only thing that counted was position in the table it'd be a very strange decision, but obviously context matters and a million other things count too.
