I am not being difficult intentionally it really does not make sense nor does it fit with what he said.
How do you square what you are saying with "
people are deceived by things that don’t exist." What doesn't exist? Different styles and football philosophies? The example games you listed are the exceptions for those coaches/teams not the norm week in week out. Thats why they stand out so much to you. Somehow the match up, the intensity the part of the seasons etc.. produce a more consistently offensive style on average with the stamp of the coaches's styles being very clear to everyone than Allegris.
Here is the quote one more time
"Everyone thinks about building from the back, but he has signed a goalkeeper who makes long passes and launches the ball 80 meters away. This is to say that often people are deceived by things that don’t exist." What doesn't exist? successful non-pragmatic football?- Square peg in round hole. Try harder.
And this is the second time he undermines Pep's tactics publicly. Last time he brushed the success of his style to having Messi, Iniesta & Xavi and was rejoicing in some imagined return of counter-attacking football glory days that ofc was just that: imagined.
This is from 2019. Praise too I am sure. Or did he have a change of heart in those couple of years?
The truth is he has to undermine Pep's approach to make himself look good. He needs folks like yourself to believe it's either winning ugly or losing because thats all he can offer. He is just covering his own ass by making you believe thats the trade-off.
Try to Twist the interpretation all you want its clear he was throwing shade and doubling down, not praising Pep's genius. Every news agency reporting on it are reading it the same. Unless they too are in on some kind of anti-allegri conspiracy, no amount of mental gymnastics will make that interpretation work.
