He is addressing fans like you actually, who have trouble understanding and see everything either or, that football is not really what you project to yourself. When Liverpool beat Tottenham, when Bayern eliminated us, when Bayern played Barca in 2015, when we played inter this weekend.... The matchup, the intensity of the game, the part of the season and the goals, those are things that determine how you play. There is no right or wrong approach, there is no coach that plays the same each game. The goal is to win, these coaches are concerned with that over how their team plays

Pragmatism doesn't mean you can't have a clearly defined way at achieving something, in case of Allegri's juve, the clear repeated pattern is that the team is lacking direction, dynamism and creativity when going forward with the ball...
