This substitutions thing is becoming ridiculous at this point. Forced sub in Locatelli, mandatory Kean out at 60th whenever he starts and then nothing after that? If they were invalids Miretti and Ake could not have been worse than Arthur and dead Cuadrado ffs

Spezia, Samp, Salernitana next 3 in the league and rematch vs Villarreal before the next break. Let's go, somehow

Undefeated in 13 league matches now. Last loss in the league was in November. 8 wins - 5 draws. 23 goals scored - 11 goals conceded.

Great teams win even when they are playing badly :seven:

Its a shit show in recent weeks. Some of it is due to our players getting injured almost every game. Today another injury. He has very few options to choose from the bench.

Yeah and our mighty defend at all costs approach was enough to get us a respectable 7-2 aggregate in both those finals

This approach literally does not work in the CL because it's not the 1990s
We didn't defend at all costs though.

We had a go at Barcelona and should of had a pen then Real Madrid took us apart in the second half as we had a tired team with no talent on the bench.

I keep seeing the "sorted the defense" claim, what's the evidence for that?
Today's game shows that the midfield let the balls come in and the defense have to clear it out a million times. Defenders are always marking their man. Once in a while the ball in is too good that it'll lead to a goal. Also, when under pressure we couldn't hold the ball and take it forward, that's on the midfield because our strikers are target men. It ends up with us needing to defend. Our hype players like Locatelli are underwhelming and can't keep ball or pass.

Our defensive organization has regressed again in the last few weeks after looking pretty good for several weeks during this unbeaten run. Injuries all across the backline and makeshift set ups haven’t helped but it needs to be better. Attack is creating a lot more clearcut scoring chances since Vlahovic arrived, but players other than Dusan need to start finishing better. Improvements needed, but the fact we have gone 3 months since our last league defeat is obviously a good sign (only the extra time loss to Inter in Supercoppa in that entire period).

Neither Arthur can protect the defense nor control the tempo of the game and Rabiot is lazy player and we definitely miss Dybala linking up the midfield with the attack.

What? against Empoli we are very shaky, our players just hope time is over after Empoli's second goal
Keep on dreaming, if it not for Vlahovic we will get 2 lost against Empoli. Keep dreaming
:dai:

And yeah too bad we bought a top striker. We should have bought an Amauri instead so we could have proof the coach is really terrible. Real good teams don’t need world class players.
