i'm pretty disappointed with both players. i still think ramsey is our only mid who could actually make a difference around the box, and arthur is supposed to be by far the best in possession, and could have easily became max's new pjanic with a bit of an improvement in forward passing. too bad for ramsey's injuries and arthur's unprofessional attitude. let's hope we hit rock bottom with these two.
In Ramsey case, i think he himself gave up and doesnt really care about playing here, thats only logical explanation for the current state of his status in the squad. TBF here im even thinking he is actually faking injuries, because the situation where he can easily play for NT and then comes back and is not available is just bullshit to me and happened to many times. Maybe its Allegri who has written him off alreayd, but there is something fishy there, even Nedved comments suggests there are some issues with him, not only related to form/injuries. In form and injury free Ramsey would be a blessing for this squad though, as what we are lacking the most is the creativity in the midfield.
Now on Arthur, we had big expectations for him, atleast i did, but we cant have a midfielder who is not able to run for more than 60 minutes and this was always the case for Melo. I remember when we were still trying to buy him, all Barca fans were saying the same - this guy is dead at 60 minute of the game, has no stamina for a proffesional player.
Just tell me now, how did our scouting department not see this? Its said he came him as a transfer chosen by Sarri and specifally for his system. Are we really such amateurs on the transfer market? Sarri was sacked before Arthur was bought, but his agent says:
Arthur’s agent Federico Pastorello: "Arthur was a Sarri signing, he doesn’t fit the footballing style of Allegri, keeping him on the bench is a shame. We won’t exclude anything come January, within Spain but also Italy & England."
