or give me a coach who'd guarantee results with this shitty squad. and not conte pls, he won't come back, and we wouldn't call him back. and if a squad can only perform with conte, then it's a seriously flawed one anyway.

allegri is a proven coach. he made mistakes vs udinese and empoli, he should have already switched to a 3 mid formation, so he's not perfect. but expecting this squad lacking balance, dedication, leadership and quality to win the league is pure delusion.

Allegri on the other hand inherited a winning team set up by Conte. It was Conte who raised this club from its ashes and gave it an identity once more, managing to take a team of Vucinic, Matri and Padoin to the top again. Allegri merely continued that winning momentum because he was able to do so with the better players at his disposal in 2014/2015 (Pogba, Vidal, Pirlo, Tevez e.t.c.). Don't tell me we have it worse now than we did in 2011. Our current roster is more than capable of winning the scudetto, let alone beating the likes of fucking Empoli and Verona.

To summarise, Allegri is not a manager suited for a rebuild. He only works well when he has a team of quality players to work with. We saw him struggle with the mediocrity he had at Milan (hence the meltdown among juventini when we signed him) and we saw it again in 2019 when our squad was going downhill in quality. Alternatively, Conte has proven time and time again that he can revitalize even the most average of teams and lay down the foundations for someone like Allegri to take over. Now we're in a position where we have to literally go into survival mode until the winter mercato in order to get Allegri the quality players he needs to function, or else risk missing out on UCL. Whereas with Conte, I'm pretty confident that he would have lasted just fine, thus releasing the pressure on the management to act now and panic buy.

That rebuild went pretty well I'd say, but as I said he can't win with some (you seem to be one of them). When we win it's never because of him and even if it is, the winning was done the wrong way.

I do agree that Conte is probably the best coach at getting something extra out of a group of players with certain shortcomings. However Conte left us when he didn't get everything he wanted and has since done the same in two other clubs. You simply can't trust him. It's more than him. It's Pepe (who was on form), Matri, Giaccherini, De Ceglie AND Estigarribia who played quite a lot for us. Our bench, however, was filled with trash. We had Borriello, Krasic, Pazienza, Padoin and Marrone. We were luck there weren't plenty of injuries surely. We didn't have Tevez and our forward line was weak so we gathered goals mainly from Marchisio's free role and forward runs, since only Matri and Vucinic scored 10 goals.

No, I'm not saying that Allegri is as good as Pirlo, before you say that, no. But I'm not seeing much from Allegri since he took over. Plenty of times we played a bit better than Pirlo's squad. Plenty of times we were exactly the same and plenty of times we struggled and grabbed points without showing anything.

If you go back and read posts when we appointed Allegri you'll see he was my first choice and I wanted him badly here. But honestly, I expected a lot more. Sure, our squad may not be ideal, far from that. But struggling and losing to bottom side teams? Our one player earns as much as their full squad. You can't say we have a weak team when we talk about that. It would've been entirely different had we lost to Chelsea, Bayern or City. I'd be first to say how we're way behind those teams and we had to drop points. But showing absolutely ZERO stuff against midtable and bottom table teams, teams that just joined Serie A, that is not acceptable even with "this mid of ours".

Then there is no such thing as a rebuild. We changed our whole attack and midfield between those finals.

let's not forget that we didn't have to play any international games in conte's first season. also, matri, quagliarella were quality strikers in the league, and giak was a hard worker squad player too

point is we had at least 7 players of very, very high quality (buffon, bbc, mvp) on the pitch, and we could count on occasional brilliance from pepe, vucinic or q. where's our 7 players of similar quality now?

yeah, i expected more too. i thought ronaldo's absence would open more eyes and i didn't expect chiesa and de ligt to struggle to find continuity. i also expected kean, morata and cuadrado to do better. now dybala is our only in form player, which is worrying to say the least, and i expect max to react somehow. those couple of clean sheets were a good sign, but locatelli and bonucci clearly lack some rest, de ligt isn't fit, too many problems.

i think we should play with 4-3-3 with cuadrado, dybala and chiesa up front, but the midfield is still a huge question mark. besides locatelli, all of our mids have serious flaws unfortunately. conte would figure it out i know lol

He also broke our 9 year winning streak and finished just a point behind us the year before, so I wouldn't be so harsh. He actually won the league in his first season with Chelsea after they finished tenth the season before, so you're wrong there. As with european success its always hit and miss, sure we didn't go as far as we should have I admit, but Allegri also had his slip ups such as throwing away a 2-0 lead against Bayern, losing the locker room at half time against Real and suffering a humiliating 4-1 loss, and not being able to beat Ajax at home with Ronaldo on your team. I agree though, of course objectively speaking Allegri has had better history in europe, but europe's not our focus at the moment. Our domestic problems need to be the priority, and Conte is better suited for that.
