There is so much work to be done on their heads. The biggest fight we have is really against ourself. Yesterday once we conceded the lack of concentration and confidence was so easy to be seen. The same happened last year when we always seemed to concede at the opening phase of the game. It’s one big concentration issue and we don’t have many world class players who can make the difference.

I think we all agree that Max had his tactics very wrong, not using a striker, Danilo als DM -> Benta and Rabiot responsible of creating things backfired pretty hard. McKennie was lost in space. What I find very disappointing is that besides Chiesa, Dybala and Cuadrado (who has to cover a lot of ground), we have a team full of players afraid to go in a 1v1. Most of the run sideways and choose for the easy pass, no opponent gets beaten or something got created. And the passing in general was to hard, or a few meters off.

And the group feels like a bunch of random guys playing together, there’s no real understating between the players. Yes, they’re willing to run harder, but none of them is able to find each other blindly. I think it’s due to the lack of a good core, ideally a top club has to have like 8 players who represent the club in the coming decade.

Last think I’d like to point out are simple rules between the players. Cuadrado his early cross is great, you should have 2 players attacking to second post if he’s in a good position to do that. Chiesa has great runs and Dybala is good cutting inside; so whenever possible he should make the run. All these simple things we’ve seen many times in the past with Mandzukic attacking the second post, Lichtsteiner overlapping, runs from Marchisio and Vidal, etc.

The most important thing for me remains never playing Rabiot and Bentancur in the same line up. It’s so destructive.

Same would happen with Ronaldo. It’s nothing new, there’s a lot of work to be done
Agree this is not about Ronaldo, maybe he can help it to some extent. But this fixtures we should pounce easily
The notion that Allegri comeback and players already know his system is totally out of place
He is just like a new coach for us, trying to found the right balance in the team. While he doing that he need to remember the experimenting and trying is okay but the result on the pitch is important too

Even Inzaghi do it better with the same 3 CB formation with Conte, their new players just compliment the team well

Yes the season is new, only 2 matches. But this is Udinese and Empoli level we are talking about. The deep we caught in this mess, the hard we will get out and rebound

Wow. We lost. He has a long road ahead, to rid us of the Thesis and "Sometimes 2nd place is good", mentality.

The lost against a big side after we show some performance is acknowledgeable. But against Empoli, and we perform just far below our level is just unacceptable
Don't know about the 2 years gone coach, but at least the last game of Pirlo , we beat the ass of Bologna 4-1 without Ronaldo in their own turf

Poor you, Allegri has an expensive 4 year contract and you'll have to endure for a long time.

Yeah we beat a "nothing to play for Bologna" , în the last round.
Pirloh class at it's finest.

We have so many issues.
Sandro is finished
Danilo is a poor RB, a mediocre DM or CB
Cuadrado although superb on the offensive end as RB, is a bad defender.
Midfield is non-existent, bar Locatelli
Morata has spells and is mentally fragile.
Etc.

It's going to take a couple of years to fix this.

First of all he disappointed me with so many experiments after admitting he fucked up with too many changes against Udinese. Then he does the same thing here, then he tries to fix it with Morata on at half time for McKennie, which should've been for Rabiot because he just came back from injury and we needed more presence in the box. Then tries to fix the Rabiot mistake with Bernardeschi, then takes out Chiesa too soon.

It was just mistake after mistake.

This team evidently lacks experience, winning mentality and actual quality. You can't then put them in an even worse situation by putting out whatever it was he tried last night. We were lost from the start, Empoli looked like prime Barca just passing around and through us at will.

We need another #6 to backup Locatelli, we need a LB and RB and a CB and at least one more CM. We will maybe get Witsel or something. God help Loca to stay healthy for the full season.
His substitution is typical Italian Manager. Balance always a priority.
I also wonder why he played Rabiot from beginning and kept him after half time while saying Locatelli is not fit yet to play 90 minutes.
He took Chiesa for Kulu (balance winger for winger) and even took off Cuad for De Sciglio. At least with Cuadrado there will be a good cross that create chances. Why don't he took off Sandro for De Sciglio
