another note i want to make and it's not just allegri related, but it did start under allegri.

our midfield has NO intensity. no running or desire to fight to win the battle. same happened under sarri and pirlo. the other teams always have more desire to do something with the ball. i can't stand it.
Well we have one but he was subbed out at halftime.

Simple eye test confirms this team isn´t good enough period. Lacks creativity, finishing, technical level is poor, basic team IQ, resilience etc.

As someone mentioned before, we miss a Mandzukic, a douchebag who´ll win at all costs. A Pogba who has the ability to see a pass no one else does. Or a Buffon who will keep the defenders focused through 90 minutes. This is a Juve built on overpaid, low character, overrated players.

And it´s not like in 15/16 where there are injured players who´ll bring this once their back.

Allegri can only work with what he got and I don´t see characters in this team to go on a win streak like we did in 2016. He will need at least 2-3 transfer windows to shape the squad and then we can challenge.

Agreed my worry is though with what salaries and transfer fees have become that there's now a small circle of clubs that cycle through all of the world class players... And we ain't one of them

Rebuilding will be rough

Its time to wake up and realize this squad is dead awful…. It was always wrong to rehire Allegri but we hoped it would be the best way to atleast get some decent results.

We need some fresh and new ideas and neither Allegri or most of our players are build for it

I still believe he will eventually thinker a winning formula , even with this particular group of players, obviously it is inexcusable to lose at home against Empoli for any team or coach at any point in time regardless of the circumstances but if we seriously think about it we've seen many times this type of game in the previous seasons aswell when players completely switch off and every lost ball is an instant counter-attack that somehow always finds its way getting into our most dangerous areas, it's already a pattern, there's clearly a way that certain teams set up against us that always catches us on the wrong foot, even fricking Empoli was able to figure it out and target our weaknesses at the middle of the pitch, maybe it's just certain players playing poorly on a regular basis and giving away easy balls to the opposition when under pressure, could even be a case of 'defeatist mentality' thing going on with some of them but what's plain to see is that there's a soft spot there that needs to be properly addressed whether it is through change of personnel or of formations and tactics or all together if need may be...

Nonetheless, all in all it's perhaps rather naive from many of us to believe that after a few weeks of training together under a new coach they would have already fixed all the weaknesses or that we would have certain link-ups and chemistry already drilled in by now, imo time is still on our side to get back on track and hopefully this season we'll only have had tonight's game and the one in Udine as the very select few where this type of shameful performances and results actually reoccured.

Didn't watch the game but remember changes do take time. For most of these players its been 2 years since they've been under a proper coach so I suppose its going to take Maxx a bit to regain the intensity and the confidence.

Either way he's still got plenty of time before I start to worry.

Its a new crop of players for him and his reshaping of the team over the mercato where he had much more say than previously, needs time to manifest itself. Along with his tactical changes away from the dreadful Sarriball and thesiswork that was going on. Also, Im not an expert on Allegris methods (@il brutto and @Post Ironic correct me if Im wrong here), but I think the physical training is arranged in such a way that we will peak around February, for the most important part of the season. This is usual with Allegri so nothing new. We should give the man some time to do his thing. Afterall, the squad isnt great and I think we all agree that if someone is an expert in getting shit done with shitty resources, then its Max!

Drawing Udinese and losing at home to empoli there are 0 excuses for it! Period
Let’s hope it will get better but stop with this bullshit. 1 point against those teams is ridiculous

At Milan Allegri was notorious for slow starts. At Juve it was basically only that one season where we started slowly but then again that was the season when we sort of started a new cycle with key players like Tevez, Pirlo and Vidal leaving. So there's definitely a trend with Allegri of needing a bit of time to figure things out when there are big changes in the roster.

Good example is Allegri's first season at Milan when they won the title with 82 points. They started the season with 5 points from the first 4 games which included a loss to a promoted Cesena side. That season their closest rival, Inter, only got 76 points. My worry is that if a team gets to 90 points this season we might struggle to catch up.

I think the "Allegri is back so we win the Scudetto" takes were always a bit naive. It's clear that there is a lot of work to be done and to some degree we might need to hope that none of the other big teams are too consistent this year.
