People really get carried away with rumours.

It is the same when managers join teams and they are suddenly linked with every player from the team the manager came from. How often does the club make those signings? The only difference here is that Allegri's last job was at Juve.

Retaining Chiellini and Bonucci is believable given that we have bigger issues to resolve this summer and if we sell them we need to find 2 centre backs on top of 2 mids, a striker and a LB.

I think the market will go crazy after Euro 2020, its the perfect shop window. Management needs to be quick with long term targets like Locatelli before his price goes up. Copa America also going ahead, good for young talent scouting.

Are you so sure Locatelli will actually get to play in a midfield with Barella, Jorginho, Verratti? I don't see him as an obvious starter TBH

Why would Allegri care about Italian NT?

I know this is what this Olive dude wants but main priority is to get Juventus back to winning again. Not to satisfy fantasy fetishes of Italian NT fanboys of 'building a core' for the national team.
Why would an Italian coach care about national team? Are you high?
All Italians care about national team. Also allegro knows all the years Juventus did great we had a huge presence in the national team and that was good all around
It's funny how detached from the Italian calcio culture most of you on here are and how much you have no clue what goes on in Italian calcio culture

Juventus winning and the nationality of their squad members should be uncorrelated to the Azzurri and their success

Don't think nationality plays any part in this. The goal is to get players who will play their position with good outcome for years to come, like it happened with ofc Chiellini, Bonucci, but also with Lichtsteiner or Pjanić or Sandro. Locatelli seems like a natural choice and so does Donnarumma but I wouldn't loose my sleep if we won't sign them. The best idea is to buy players that worked for us in the past, meaning players already playing for medium big clubs who are not teenagers. And there are plenty of players like this on the market - Schlager, Tapsoba, Golovin, Gosens.
IMO most reports ATM are bullshit, they will meet today and we will see first outcome next week. I really would love to know what Allegri thinks about our midfield though.

I don’t believe the Allegri Azzurri rumor. Juve hasn’t cared much about signing Italians for several years now and Allegri didn’t seem to either. Every summer we hear the “Italian core” rumors but it doesn’t seem to ever be true.

There's nothing really to it. It's just some garbage Italian sources as usual running their propaganda to feed the fantasies of guys like AC. It's no different to the 'Juve are going to build a team of Galactico's' that you read every now and then. It's silly season, ofcourse you will read sensationalist rumors.

Imagine thinking Allegri will take up the Juventus job with the aim of 'building a core' for the NT. Something like an Italian core should happen organically, not something you proactively 'plan' for. Quality > nationality. A simple logic that fails these deluded Azzurri fanboys' minds.
