100% would have, with De Ligt, Demiral, Rabiot, Ramsey added to the squad. Both Rabiot and Ramsey would have looked far better under Max. And De Ligt instead of Rugani for the meat of the season unlike last season after Chiellini got injured.

I don’t think we would have won CL, but I bet a domestic double, with around 90 pts, and we’d be in the CL quarters right now.

We had a good squad in 16-17 with our double and CL final, but after weaknesses of the squad Max had managed to hide with his Brilliant tactics were exposed in the final, the club did very little to fix them. And here we are now. Instead of splurging on fixing our midfield after Cardiff, we slapped some bandaids on repeatedly. And then we hired an absolute fraud of a coach.

Anyways, it was probably time for a break for Allegri, he looked far too frustrated all last season and fought with the press too much, but we should have had a proper replacement in the works.
We played like trash under Allegri in his last two years. He decimated Dybala. Ramsey is trash. Rabiot is a question mark. No, Allegri would have not done better than Sarri. In fact, this team plays the same as they played in Allegri's last two seasons.
Also, Ronaldo played better under Sarri...

lol no

We scored 86 league goals, conceded 24, 95 pts, +62 goal differential, thrashed Milan 4-0 in Coppa final to win it, and only went out to eventual winners Madrid on a last second 50/50 penalty call after thrashing them at the Bernabeu in CL qfs in 2017-18. How awful. Much trash. Wow. Played like trash for two years :lol2:

You Sarri apologists are amusing, I’ll give you that. Even last season we finished with more points, better goal differential, and got further in CL, exiting to a far better side than this atrocious Lyon that finished 7th in Ligue 1. So no, we are not playing the same as under Allegri, and while Ronaldo scored more, the team sucked far worse, even with the upgrades, and Ronaldo scored and assisted less in CL, when it mattered most under the chainsmoking cancer.

Please try again.

Allegri naysayers just want an easy way out of the mess that the management created with so many bad signings and players that are giving zero to the team. For them it is much easier just to change the coach and expect a miracle.

And to think that Allegri was fired because he wanted to rejuvenate the squad. Talk about how unfair life is. :sergio:

Pure BS. Our play was embarrassing and we were sleepwalking in Italy against trash sides. In Europe, we struggled in group stages and were regularly beaten by average teams. In CL Ajax and Real toyed with us in our own stadium. Dybala was in shambles.
Allegri apologists are just living in a fantasy La La La land where the clueless Mister is a flawless god.

He definitely didn't confirm Sarri in his interview, he didn't answer the question at all. Very clear in his response regarding Nedved and Paratici.

You can scream and cry all you want, but it won't change the reality that we won and achieved much more under Allegri even during his last two seasons here compared to this season. It's the likes of you who need to escape that reality in order to feel better about their flawed opinions.

Yeah, great achievements against Real, Ajax, Young Boys, and the worst Man U in history. I remember them fondly...

Allegri is top 5 coaches in the history of our team.he had 2 amazing and 2 unbelievable seasons here. Even In his worst season (last one) he was way above Sarri.

No need to compare him to anyone.

We juat have to move on and see what our incompetent managers would do to fix this mess.

It's the vastly inferior coach that makes the team much worse than in previous seasons. This is the most expensive Juve team ever.
Most neutral fans will told you that this is by far the worst Juve team in terms of player selection in recent years. The only major signing last year was De Ligt. The rest were free transfers and inexpensive players added to other free transfers and aging expensive signings.

What does the guy ask him here at 1:34:

Agnelli says "Yes, yes, of course" to something, but seems like he's trying to rush the answer
It was more of an acknowledgement of the question

Basically said will Sarri be confirmed. He didn't confirm anything

The fact that Allegri doesn't have a team yet is suspicious to me

Cuadrado De Ligt Demiral Sandro

Arthur Benta Rabiot

Zaniolo/Kulu

Dybala Ronaldo

We've chosen to concentrate on a couple big signings these past two seasons which has obviously led to some compromises in other positions. That discussion belongs to the Paratici thread though. This team still has enough quality in it to perform better and comfortably beat a side like Lyon over two legs. We've taken big steps backwards this season.

Yea I guess you're right, Can't argue with that
