it's a pretty simple request.
That lot sure are vocal about the team and Euromaxx after a loss. No shortage of things to say. Surely they can express these concerns with a level of insight beyond: "I don't know why its so difficult to play positive dominant football AND getting the results at the same time "

We're very obviously playing like shit now, that's clear. Our midfield is not up to par a lot of the time and holds us back tremendously, we all know that. Same exact glaring weakness as last season. We've done VERY well in terms of accomplishing goals thus far (first in Serie A, top the group, Ronaldo scoring regularly, etc), but I do think these concerns have merit. It reminds me of the year we got to the final against Madrid. The prevailing attitude among the forum was we would for some reason tap into some hidden extra gear and just play amazingly, which we obviously didn't. Unless some changes are made, I once again doubt that we're going to suddenly pick things up and start looking unstoppable.
Don't worry I'm not melting down, I'm enjoying watching us play and it is super exciting. Also amusing for me to see people in here go crazy and resort to insults and bullshit when their intellect and football knowledge lets them down.
We are better this year than we ever was, but our football is very underwhelming and we are not showing super promising signs, that you would normally like to see if you are to hoping to win the CL. That must be obvious for everyone. That doesn't mean crying and not being entertained by this team. I watch and look forward to every game. My point is that it is illogical to have blind faith in that we suddenly will start playing much better and go on to win the CL, just because it will be March, when there is no data to back it up. Last time it happened was 25 years or so ago.

Wat? The year we got to the final against Madrid we were playing fantastic though the knockouts of the CL after we switched to the 4-2-3-1 in January.
We destroyed two of the highest scoring teams in Europe that year Barcelona and Monaco. Poor finishing stopped those from being even bigger blow-outs. Especially against Barca where Higgy missed a half-dozen chances.
We got to the final on a wave of confidence because of how we smashed through the knockouts outscoring our opponents 10-1 and dominating them in every aspect. We just didn’t show up in the second half of the final against Madrid for some bizarre reason. Whether that was the rumoured locker room fight? Or Mandzu and Pjanic picking up knocks? Or the team just burning out? Who knows, but there was no talk on the forum about needing to take it to some big extra gear that season in the final. We just needed to keep our foot on the gas and we failed to do so.
One of the other issues in the final was Cuadrado who had been so important for us playing in front of Alves fell badly out of form at the end of the season and Allegri ended up playing Barzagli as RB and pushing Alves forward into Cuadrado’s role.
Oh well. All water under the bridge now. But let’s not change history and pretend that we were poor through the knockouts that year and fluking wins with bad performances. We were playing dominant, attractive football for the last 4 months of that season.

Allegri knew very well it wasn't gonna be pretty when he fielded a midfield of Bentancur, Pjanic, Bernardeschi. Not a single ball winner there, light af midfield. And a Chiellini-less Bonucci is a deer caught in headlights. He surely didn't expect a loss, but he also knew Utd was playing backups and was likely to drop points away at Valencia.
He chose to rest a few key players ahead of Torino, Roma, Atalanta, and Samp (+ synthetic pitch) which was a good decision. Esp with fatigue and injuries in midfield, Matuidi definitely needed a rest.
I knew that midfield was gonna suck when I saw it. But only thing I disagreed with was starting Mandzo and benching Dybala in this game. You want technical Dybala, who already did well against them before, in a game like this. Mandzukic does well in big games.

Mandzukic is often invisible in these sort of matches and doesn’t seem to care anywhere near as much, which is annoying, but fair enough.
And even so, we should have been up 2 or 3-0 when they scored the opener. We controlled the start created several chances, through the middle on the ground for Ronaldo who messed them up, and Costa once also. But after that we stopped playing and settled for slow ineffective passing and crosses into a packed box. Probably not a coincidence we seemed to stop giving a shit after Valencia went ahead of United. I’m sure the score was shown at the stadium.
How can the entire players feel and behave that lazy when we have Cristiano fucking Ronaldo in the squad?

It's everything to do with the entire coaching team, whatever they instilled and coached into this team for years.
It's ridiculous that we fans can joke that even if we buy Messi now or next season and play him with cr7 upfront, we'd still play like shit and struggling to score goals, it's a good probability that it can come to that reality.
How ridiculous that would be? A team with 2x 5 times Ballon D'or winners, scrapping 1-0 wins, displaying lazy uninspired boring football.
I can totally see that possibility, and if fans are honest, they should see that too.
Blaming the midfield is wrong because, we all know that the midfield isn't that bad, the midfield is still enough for top 3 teams on top 3 leagues.
The way we move the ball is slow, sluggish, static, uninspired, predictable, just not befitting the personnel characteristic and a team of this stature.
And fact is fact, we haven't even win a CL anyway, bragging about 2015 and 2017 is like scudetto of honesty that we ridicule our domestic rivals for.

We should hire the great Luis Enrique. He won a CL so he must be an extraodinary manager. We’d play the best football ever under him and win everything for sure.
Any manager who can’t win a CL with the Juve team of the last 4 years is dreadful. How dare Allegri stay after his epic failures, only getting to the finals with the clear best team in football.
Sarri, Guardiola, Klopp, Zidane, even Enrique would have all won the CL here by now.

Difficult to judge, we haven’t played another top team yet.
I think that we would seriously struggle against Man City. They have devastating speed on the counter. We struggled a lot with Tottenham’s pace last season, and City play twice as fast as Tottenham.
Barcelona would do a very effective job keeping the ball away from us, exhausting our players chasing the ball, and then strike. They made us look silly last year, and that was without Coutinho, Arthur and Vidal in midfield.
I would say that Klopp and Simeone are outright better managers than Allegri (by a small margin). They have reached the same number of CL finals as Max, but have done it with lesser players. Out of these two, I think Klopp would do a better job maximizing our attacking talent.
I don’t think that either are viable options though.
I’m not as convinced by Guardiola or Zidane. I would like to see them manage lesser teams first. Our midfield is not capable of playing the football Pep wants to play.
