Tardelli on Allegri: Juventus fans should be careful what they wish for
Marco Tardelli

07 May at 14:20
During an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, former Juventus midfielder Marco Tardelli has spoken about the possibility of Massimiliano Allegri leaving the Bianconeri at the end of the season, insisting that he is a much better coach than many give him credit for. Here is what he had to say about the Tuscan, who continues to be linked with a move to Premier League side Arsenal:

“Everyone wants to play well, but everyone wants to win even more. If you finish second by playing beautiful football, then it is pointless. Allegri is a great coach. You only need to look at how he helped Dybala and Higuaín recover from a loss of form by relegating them to the bench . With a Champions League medal, he would become the most successful coach in the club’s history.

“Ferguson and Wenger were in charge of their teams for 20 years or more, so why if four years too many for Allegri. I saw Trapattoni every day for nine years and that did not weigh me down. Of course, if Allegri wanted to go abroad then I would understand. I do not see why Juve would consider letting him go. Are we sure that there is someone better waiting to take charge?

If he goes, i only would like Zidane because he is obviously a winner and has a keen eye for nurturing talent.

Otherwise, i think he should stay at least one more year. Not because i love his football philosophy, but because we risk the season by getting someone average like Mancini.

Report: Allegri wants 'misaligned’ Juve players out if he stays

07 May at 16:50
Massimiliano Allegri wants Juventus to sanction the sale of "misaligned" players “who have less feeling” towards the manager or those who are not good enough for the Old Lady, if he has to continue with the Turin club.

The former AC Milan manager’s future at the Allianz Stadium has still not be resolved as he is linked with a move to Arsenal. Arsene Wenger has already announced his decision to leave the Gunners after the end of this season and Allegri is one of the candidates linked with the Emirates Stadium job.

Ciro Venerato tells Rai Sport that Allegri will have a meeting with Juventus management and will express his desire, if he has to continue as the Serie A leaders’ manager.

"Max Allegri has to clean the squad a bit and he wants a meeting with the Juventus management,” Venerato explained.

"In the sense, some misaligned players who have no feeling towards Allegri or Allegri think they are no longer part of his project will have to be sold. I believe board are likely to agree with his decision."

Marotta will never make bad investments to appease a coach. He has shown that before. The most he will give the coach, if it's a clearly retarded purchase, is a low level Padoin/Giaccherini or someone like that.

I really doubt he would make some 40M Bonaventura mistake just for the coach.

His M.O. so far has been to buy random players that are worthwhile investments and tell the coach to fit them in somewhere. As if Conte had even heard of Pogba before, for example.

Losing one of your best assets to a club that is considered by many as the sick man of Europe. Can't think a worse scenario, a realistic one anyway.
We're not losing him. If he moves out he'll change clubs because he needs new motivation, not because Arsenal are more attractive

Therefore not humiliating at all
