He's a phenomenal coach that has overachieved with the squad but I also think he's a bit of a bottler. He takes us to heights we don't expect him to, he's brave when he needs to be but at the last moment, his negative/defensive mentality sets in and we end up bottling those games. We have seen this multiple times in the CL. You can say it's all the fault of the players during those games but as soon as we get a cushion, our approach changes completely and a defensive mindset sets in. It's not possible to continue with this approach especially with our waning defense. Next year , our fullbacks are expected to be underwhelming. We really need to readjust ourselves and play with a more positive approach which will aid us in the long term.

I have to ask the people who vigorously defend Allegri if they've ever watched other teams play before. I have watched Napoli, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Manchester City and Liverpool play some stunning flowing football; then I watch us. We play like a relegation team half the time with our awful mispaced passing and comical build up play.

Read what neutrals (fans of clubs outside of italy) say about Juventus. They think we are boring and that our football is terrible to watch.

We are one of the biggest clubs in the world. We deserve better than this.

Won't argue against that but if Allegri wants to win a CL in his career, he needs to finetune that aspect of his game.

You cannot attack for the entire 90 minutes also We are not a good counter attacking team as players are not the quickest and there is lack of understanding or chemistry between the players

I have to agree as a neutral with this. Watching Juventus this season has been kinda weird. The way Allegri plans for the game seems totally outdated in some areas, thats if you look at the attacking play. There is not much koordination.

This game and Tottenham first game is one of those inexplicable wtf tactics by him. When we lose pts vs small teams I can chalk it down to the players not giving a damn and taking it for granted. But when we have a big games and doesn't even try to play Footie a whole game, he has no alibis, just infuriating cowardice.

He seems out of ideas. Often when I watch Juventus play they seems to have no idea about what to do in the offensive - yes I know there are different styles of football and especially from country to country.

All respect to what he delivered though, but the past year or so havent been impressive if you look at the actual play. Also been ripped of some really good players, doesent help the man.

He never really has any set blue printed plays for attack, he is more about just giving them freedom and flexibility. Was the same in Milan. His tactics is mainly about organisation and being well prepared in how to neutralize. Don't see him as a defensive coach for it (if anything his 4-2-3-1 was quite offensive), more of an adaptive one, to what he has to use.



He can't adapt to how to properly use this 433 tho, especially in terms utilizing our best player in it. Funny thing is he changed to this 3 man midfield to improve midfield, but it's still shit.

No it would still been a shameful performance, just more acceptable result.

Eventually like always the coach is made scapegoat for spineless attitude of our management we can't keep our key players or spend money on the transfer market yet we want to be competitive and win titles

Save that speech for CL.


We have by far the best team and squad for winning domestic titles.


Allegri was incredible coward and shat the bed last night. Incredible low mark game in many ways.

Let's be honest, every time we confront a high pressure team we don't know what to do with the ball and can't get past the midfield. And you can't say our mid isn't good enough, look at Liverpool's. Same with attacking, we rely almost exclusively on individual talent and seem to have no real system on how to do it collectively.

I know he's a great coach and has done what nobody believed he could but maybe it's time to try someone else.

Seriously? The coach hasn’t had a good outing in months. Horrible tactics, shit personnel decisions , crappy subs and sticking to the same old same old hoping it will work

He had a great outing 2nd ties vs Spurs and Real tactically speaking.



But yeah there been too many confused and lethargic performances since the formation change, even if results, goals and consistent defence been there mostly.

Not exaggerating at all, when we drew to Crotone we lost momentum, we gave Napoli energy and above all the lead shrinked to four points only which forced us to be more cautious and play for a draw. We did not dare risk anything yesterday, we did not even want to take corners. Without the draw to Crotone we would have entered the game last night with a 6 point lead which would have seen us more relaxed and willing to play more. Had we won against Crotone I would have predicted a win against Napoli.

Not only that, but we need some new energy. The team just seems disinterested.

Hopefully we will regroup and do enough to scrap by the last four games.

Then it is time for a coach, who will build a new team, with some young hungry players, who can give the team a new attacking identity.

To be honest, I blame Marotta entirely. He kept on dismantling the team summer after summer until it got really dismantled. This time around not even Allegri was able to find a winning formations/tactics

One swallow doesn't make a summer though. One of the most consistent problems of this team since the start of 2016/17 has been mediocre passing, and there seems no light at the end of this tunnel.

juve did a couple of similar moves, it was just an example. from possession we can move very quickly do attack. we only have one major issue since forever: we cannot really play effectively against high-pressing teams.

allegri is a great coach, there's no 2 ways about it.
