We suck. But Napoli suck even more. That's why we win. Not because we good, but because Napoli bad.
Which couldn't be further from the truth, this Napoli side is as strong as it gets without (so far) winning the league. The only thing that keeps them from doing so is a great Juve side. One team HAS to win the league, that doesn't mean the one who finishes 2nd (with points records) can't be great as well.

I love the guy too but don't understand statements like this after games like that.
We haven't actually done ANYTHING to win this game and haven't shown the slightest resemblance of quality or winning desire for 93 minutes. How was Dybala catching a pass from a ricochet and clutching it in a glimpse of brillance a case of 'Max knowing his competitors'?
Our performance was alarming and shocking, and yes Allegri carries a responsibility for fielding an unmotivated, tired, dispersed team despite conserving energy against Atalanta while Lazio played 120min of energy football the day after
I refuse to attribute anything positive from this game to Allegri or any player except Dybala and if your lesson from this match is to admire our winning mentality then you must be admiring lotto millionaire's winning mentality

People have such short memories. They forget that we looked quite mediocre in the CL Rof16 against Porto just last year, having a terrible time breaking down a 10 man team after Telles was sent off in the 27th minute. We often play down to opposition and do just enough to win. A large part of the forum was doomsaying about how we were going to get smoked by Barca after their "remontada"...
It's the same again this year. Allegri has lost the plot, we're a terrible team in crisis, half our players are garbage we should sell. A week ago we weren't going to win anything, aside from maybe Coppa. How about people wait on such pronouncements until we actually get knocked out of CL, lose the Scudetto, etc. We're still in all three competitions, favoured for the scudetto with today's results, and with a puncher's chance in CL.

As for the game, we were in control as can be seen by the possession and passes. No end result, but winning a nail biter against Lazio and preventing them from running us at a point where we’re very vulnerable, takes good starter and mental fortitude from the team. I’ll give Allegri props for that.

This is just a massive win. I couldn't believe it when Paulo scored that late -- such a beauty.
Juve has been playing every 3 days with a huge number of injuries - to crucial players - and the team is finding a way to grind out results. That's a big deal given the circumstances, and Allegri deserves a fair bit of credit for that. A lot of other teams would have dropped more points than Juve have to date. It's hard to keep players focused and motivated after 6 consecutive titles at the best of times, but this club has had a full blown injury crisis for a couple of months. Players are tired right now.
It has been ridiculously ugly lately. There have been tactical issues at times, play has been very conservative as Max juggles the lineup looking for answers. Nobody thinks this team is playing well enough to win CL. Nobody believes that this team is playing up to its ideal level, to a level suitable of Juventus. The squad is so thin right now. Given the circumstances I'm definitely proud of this group. Can't reinforce properly until June.
The grind is very real, and if the team can get a few guys back soon, the Scudetto and Coppa could again be real. Which would be absolutely massive, given the circumstances, and the very obvious deficiencies in the roster. Starting with our midfield, which is not anywhere near good enough even when fully healthy.
Combined with Napoli losing to Roma today, this is just such a massive -- possibly season altering -- win. Beating what had been the 3rd best team in the league on their field, keeping a clean sheet against the highest scoring attack in the league... given everything going on, that is such a big deal. All about context.

Our style of play continues to be alarming, and I don't mean because we don't do flicks and fancy skillmoves moves etc, but we have no idea how to push for a goal and build pressure. If we play anything like this in London, Tottenham will put us to the sword pretty hard. Good luck to us but it's hard to see it changing in 3 days time.

Play a different formation? Try to put the other team under more pressure, with a short bench? Sit Mandzukic or Khedira, who have both been awful for weeks/months? Or would you have played Alex Sandro and Costa from the beginning, trying to ramp up the quality? Would you always just field your best lineup, regardless of the biggest game of the season being around the corner?
There are a few different options out there, but the reality is that this group is fighting for their competitive lives right now. Which is why I'm interested to hear what you would do if you were manager. Simply formation and selection, or what? Things have not gone well at all, short a ton of talent, very few outlets, ridiculously thin in midfield, ridiculously thin in attack.
