Curiosity. Have you ever been wrong?
When we hired Allegri it was in no way 'a sure thing'. How things ended in Milan was more than reason enough to be sceptical. Especially condering he was to replace the coach who turned the ship around. Of course anyone who is not supportive of Allegr now must be high, but back then? lel
That said, what Sarri has done in Napoli is more than impressive. 67% winrate and it's not liek the dude has a bunch of world class talents. Furthermore his teaching methods are praised by high and low.
off course i have, and if i am wrong i admit it. Please find a post where i am talking $hit, backed up with reasonable explanation why its rubbish and i will gladly admit it.
Sarri is not on the the same level of Allegri in terms of tactical knowledge or tinkering.
His team play attacking football and Pep admires him, but in my opinion he is miles away from Allegri.
Not only in character but also in terms of handling big games, structuring the defensive aspects of the game, analysis of opponents, flexibility or the ability to motivate players.
Sarri is limited. He sets up his team to play
one way, no matter the opponent. An admirable, but very naive way of football that would never work at Juventus, and certainly would not get us anywhere in terms of European glory.
Like Giorgio said "
Its not in our DNA to play Tiki-taka" and i completely agree. That does not mean we should not evolve and develop our attacking play, but the focus should always be on being rock solid as a unit rather than scoring loads of goals and conceding loads. If you want that type of football you can always watch Liverpool or Arsenal. Allegri understands this and keeps true to the Juve DNA.
Douglas Costa and Cuadrado is good examples: they both had to adapt and take more responsibility after arriving to this club because Max demands it and turns them into more complete fotball players. Mandzukic is another example.
Thats also why we have have been dominating Italian football with Allegri, because he understands how we win, by playing to our strenghts, not trying to bastardize and copying Johan Cruyff's philosophy.
Thats why i not only laugh at the suggestion but also find it very provocative. We should be thankful to Max. He has done a terrific job, and while you talk about Sarri's limited budget and his success in Serie A, how about you look at Allegris limited resources compared to the other CL teams? He has still managed to bring us to two finals in his reign. If thats not worthy of some respect, this debate is truly over for my part.
Sometimes we might play "boring" and underperform, and people come to this forum and bit$h and moan (me included), but we should be careful for what we wish for sometimes.
Forza Max! :flag1:
