Manchester City, Chelsea, and maybe Liverpool are the only ones I saying hanging around there. Arsenal are done as a pretend top club (wont see them in the CL again imo) and Spurs never were gonna be a real top club. United's management is just trash and if they continue to miss out on CL football I hope they will lose their popularity in India and Asia which will cause their downfall.

It's naive to think that simply by being loaded they'll succeed by being the dominant force. Until their managements improve, they'll continue to be irrelevant. If one day they get things right it won't be forever either, it will come and go same for any country's football clubs

yah leagues dominate in cycles. 1990's for Serie A, 2000's for the prem and barca, 2010's for La Liga and Bayern (also us)

100%. They already brought the best managers from overseas and can buy the best players. If anything they have been too slow in establishing that dominance. You think Allegri is better than all those coaches? Still they can take him too. They can give him anything he wants.

Their revenue has been increasing despite sucking for a while. It will take a long long time of sucking before EPL revenue growth flats out and starts to decline again due to shit performance. With that many rich teams in the league you'll need them to collectively suck for a long period too because all you need is 1 or 2 good teams a season and the EPL becomes very watchable and marketable. They never even needed to do great in Europe to get to this level of revenue its almost entirely due to how marketable their local league is.

They never even needed to do great in Europe to get to this level of revenue its almost entirely due to how marketable their local league is.

Did you have to hit me with that kind of reality? Eventually the likes of Newcastle will have a bigger budget than the Spanish duo

they don't know how to not attack. There is no alternative gameplan and when you don't have 1 billion euros worth of players that isn't going to skate by.

Makes you appreciate a tactical genius like Allegri even more who has us rotating between 3 formations depending upon the game/ available players.

Allegri isn’t really that adaptable. We enter every big game with roughly the same gameplan:

1. Press high and hard up the pitch in the first 20-25 minutes, this is when absolutely have to nick a goal for our gameplan to work

2. When the players are tired, we retreat in our own half and resort to counterattacking tactics.

3. We always concede possession, even when we had an amazing midfield in 2015, we could only maintain 39% possession

This is how we play every big game. High intensity at the start, then a drop off when fatigue hits 25 minutes into the game, and I never expect us to have possession.

This tactic works against Napoli, earlier this season beat them 0-1. This is because Napoli does not have the forwards to hurt our organized defence. However, when we face an elite team like Bayern/Barca/Real, this tactic usually fails because they have the tools to break us down.

Allegri may be juggling between formation, but his tactics remain the same. If we play one of the elite teams in the later stages of the CL this season, I fully expect the same gameplan as per usual.

They missed Europe in Van Gaal's last season aswell (5th). If they qualify for the CL this season than I think they will be back, however if they dont and they sack Mourinho who knows what can happen. Dont look at it as 10 years. Look at it since Ferguson left. Thats 2 years out of 5, maybe 3 out of 6 after this year. If they continue to fail they will eventually become a less attractive place regardless of money. Especially when you take into consideration PSG is a big club now, Man City will potentially be Manchester's main club, and the rest of the Prem will be rich and stronger aswell. This season id say Chelsea is already better, next season Liverpool could be and that would make them 4th maybe 5th if Spurs step it up.

Anyways this is all wishful thinking as I wish for Inter, Milan, United, Real, and Barca to be erased.
