There is little doubt in my mind now that this squad is much better than 2014-15 squad.
Biggest reason ? Simply the technical ability of this team to work the ball in tight spaces. Monaco game was a brilliant illustration of that. We had a robust and a physical midfield 2 years ago which was the strength of the team but it's simply not as complete all round as this Eleven.

As people keep saying, this team has the ability to defend and also attack the opposition when we want to. We were simply not this good in the attacking phase 2 years ago.
I see strongest point this team has is the calmness we have in moving the ball from defence. It seems that they are never bothered with the press the opponents attempt at us when we are close to our area.

Our general approach to these European games is so different to what we saw just a couple of seasons ago. The swagger, the confidence, the calmness under pressure, the awareness of our abilities...Allegri has been key to this.

Yes I totally agree, we have matured a lot thanks to him. If I were asked to describe the team as a person, it will be Allegri, his calmness, his confidence and his self awareness. I would say that we also have his sense of humour as well.

Every coin has two sides. Do you know what is the second?

Honestly If that happened to Juve I dont think Allegri would have the same magnitude of reaction as he did in Milan. It does not seem to suit our culture.
If Juve were 2nd place and fighting for Scudetto then you'd probably hear yes, most likely less than Milan but you'd still hear about it, it's part of the game.

Yeah, but these kind of things comes down from organisation too. Look at Dani, he is acting sort a like a professional. Comparing to barca he is playacting way way less.

The 14/15 squad was the best we had imo. The only weakness with that squad was we had no bench but the starting 11 was fantastic
Disagree. This team is more attacking minded now , play better football with more flair and also equally defend just as good as past teams. I dint see the same level of dynamism in the 14-15 team.

Just take our fullbacks for example. Licht and Evra are a farcry from how Dani Alves and Alex Sandro have performed in Europe this season.

2 years ago, we could barely keep the ball against Barcelona in the final. Now, not only did we beat them but also dominated them. It was a Bayern-esque performance from us. Granted this Barca team might have declined but not as much as people seem to suggest.

Ha, that got me thinking though...

So that mean allegri will likely reject tolisso because he isn't physical enough, and no way he will accept veratti too unless we sell pjanic or playing with 3 men midfield of pjanic khedira veratti.
You mean the guy who has throughout his career been playing 4-3-1-2, 4-3-3, 4-4-1-1, 3-5-2, 4-2-3-1 will decline on essentially the best overall CM playmaker around in Verratti because of he strictly only can play the formation he has been using past 4 months? :D

Verratti wouldessentially play 4-1-2-2-1 set up (or in other words a 4-3-3, as Allegri is describing in part 1).

Btw, Tolisso is physical when I seen him, he just doesnt seem to be that strong willed warrior type, but his physique is impressive. For example Khedira is a big guy, but you can hardly can call him physical type can you?

He wasnt playacting that often in Barca either, its just he did it in biggiest most tense/competetive games like classico, so it remains in peoples mind like it something that happened all the time.

Kinda like how Cristiano still has the rep of a diver, even tho he hasnt done it in ages, but its kind of a lable thats hard to shake off.

We dominated Barca like how they dominated them in 2013.
No we did not.

Looking back I can understand the hate towards Allegri. Coming from a rival, Gol di Muntari etc. But all the folks $#@!ting on the management then look incredibly stupid now. Marotta has shown over and over again that we are just mere mortals and can't begin to understand even a shred of his genius :delpiero: Think about it, he lets Conte go, the guy who guided us to the best seasons we had in ages, because he doesn't believe in the management's vision of Juve, gets the 'first schmuck off the street' and that schmuck wins as many Scudettos, a couple of Coppas and gets us to two :)xfinger:) CL finals in three seasons. And despite being schooled over and over again, 'some' people still can't accept the fact that Marotta is a genius. We don't deserve the great man.

Actually until a few months ago people were still doubting Marotta and Allegri, exactly until he started the 4-2-3-1. all the years before that since July 2014 our fans been whining about them, I can't say I supported Allegri since day 1, we all really loved Conte back then, but proudly though it only took me a couple months to start liking Allegri, exactly since the 3-2 game with Roma, Conte's juve was realllly slow and had no much play making, even though Conte created single handedly our defense and he formed a beast midfield, Allegri is such a tactical genius and he helped the player mature in big games much better than Conte's motivation. Of the two I'll always choose Allegri
He also reminds me of Lippi's Juve so much

Yes we did. We had far more chances than them especially at home. Possession doesn't equal dominating. Bayern had like 35% possession when they put 4 past them 4 years ago.

As I said before, Max is truly a master mind. Our weird and kind of nonsense first half of this season (Dybala so down, Pipa SS, trying to hard with Asa CM, Stu as starter in so many games, Lemina treatment after Lyon, and go and go) It was preparing the team for this, physically, mentally, tactically, technically.

Max is a true genius and even if he starts next season with Paulo like LW or CM or any other shit I would know his genious mind is working in something I just can't understand
