Characteristics of Three Midfielders in a Three-Man Midfield - Documents
This is litterally describing how we are playing right now lol. Some of his description for number 8 in his tactic tells us speficially why he prefers Khedira starting over Marchisio too (despite the physical struggles for latter). Read part 2 midfield descriptions to get my meaning, bit from it:
That pretty much screams Khedira (his frequent box to box approach, plus being best runner in midfield). One of the few things he said even after Monaco is, he started Barzagli for extra heading coverage in part, because Khedira was missing and Marchisio doesnt have affinity and towering presence for it.

So that mean allegri will likely reject tolisso because he isn't physical enough, and no way he will accept veratti too unless we sell pjanic or playing with 3 men midfield of pjanic khedira veratti.

Think about it, he lets Conte go, the guy who guided us to the best seasons we had in ages, because he doesn't believe in the management's vision of Juve, gets the 'first schmuck off the street' and that schmuck wins as many Scudettos, a couple of Coppas and gets us to two xfinger CL finals in three seasons. There is little doubt in my mind now that this squad is much better than 2014-15 squad.
Biggest reason ? Simply the technical ability of this team to work the ball in tight spaces. Monaco game was a brilliant illustration of that. We had a robust and a physical midfield 2 years ago which was the strength of the team but it's simply not as complete all round as this Eleven.
As people keep saying, this team has the ability to defend and also attack the opposition when we want to. We were simply not this good in the attacking phase 2 years ago.
