The difference between his statements and the statements of the ex coaches :touched:

There are few out there that can be considered better or at Juve's level. On Sunday we weren't forced to win so we approached it different, this evening we knew we needed to score. We have Barcelona coming up, we have to raise the bar and face them with confidence, balance and belief.

Across the top European leagues (Italy, Spain, Germany, England, France, Netherlands), no club has ever won domestic double 3 times in a row. Not RM, not Barca, not even the dominant Bayern or Ajax.

If we pull it off, it'll be legendary stuff from Allegri.

What do you guys say about playing a 3-5-2 against Barcelona?

The only teams that have beat Napoli recently (Aside from Real) are Atalanta and Juve, who both played a 3-5-2 and it kept the tiny Napoli attackers relatively quiet. You might have noticed that Napoli immediately stopped scoring and getting chances when we switched to 3 at the back last game. Barcelona will most likely play a similar 3-man attack, so stacking the middle will go a long way to keeping their small framed attackers at bay. It means probably benching Cuadrado, but he could be even more effective when introduced after the break. Real Betis and Malaga kept the Barca attacks at bay this season by playing 3 at the back too.
I'm all for it. We're gonna sit deep anyways, so why not put an all out five defender at the back? Also, under ultra-pressure we have the tendency of being unable to string five simple passes. Besides, it's not like we're setting the world afire with this lame-duck, over-fatigued 4-2-3-1 anyways. Manz is half-dead, Dybs is nothing near his peak, and Cuads is a hit 'n miss at best.

do you guys remember what were the european games when we got beaten the shit of our team? '13 bayern tie, 3-5-2. we always suffer when we pick 3-5-2 against teams with strong wings. i bet (and also hope) it's going to be a 4-man defense against barcelona, too.

I must admit that it seems the most logical, especially if we are trying to keep a defensive mindset.

Still, that formation has seen us playing terrible offensively, giving away posession to easily, and that may well be suicide against Barcelona.

It all depends on what game-plan Max sets up for these games.
Its up to him to find our optimal shape, while also consider the danger they present to us. Its a fu#king clusterfu#k of a jigsaw puzzle.

Personally, I hope we do 2 completely different approaches. preferably, we go out guns blazing at home, like PSG but instead of playing like a bunch of scared chickens away, still manage to keep our heads cool and kill them with Classic italian tactical superiority.

I want us to play like Italy does in the WC: dictating tempo, frustrating the opposition, in control and without stress.

Confidence high, Chest out and Grinta as if we were the last remainder of Spartan blood left in the battle of Battle of Thermopylae.

Im so hyped for this fixture i can barely feel my Di#k anymore. :tuttosport::tuttosport:

If your father is still coaching us next year, could you please ask him not to play this sleepwalking boring as fuck kind of football that he has put us through this year. I cant barely stay awake when watching us play.

Also I want to do nasty things to your sister.

Unbelievable how people can hit the same rock over and over again. We played shit in Europe with the 3-5-2 not once, not twice but every single time we used it in the last 5 years (anyone who name Dortmund game make clear: exception proves the rule).

Against wingers europe formation 3-5-2 is worthless cuz they attack for our flanks and only use one CF. Europe isn't like Serie A where mostly everyone sit back and wait for us, they attack us with two and three players for each wings so it's useless play with 3 in the back, USELESS
