I'm having trouble understanding why Allegri would want to leave Juve to go to Arsenal... that is a clear step down in quality. If he ever wanted to leave, I'm sure there would be more reputable clubs that would be interested in him than Arsenal. Seriously, when have they been relevant in the last 15 years?

Report: Allegri to Arsenal, Spalletti to Juve
By Football Italia staff

A report in Italy claims that Juventus Coach Max Allegri has told friends he will join Arsenal in the summer.

The Bianconeri boss has been heavily linked with the Gunners, as manager Arsene Wenger may step down at the end of the season.

In addition, the recent sage with Leonardo Bonucci has seen speculation grow that his future may lie away from Turin.

Now calciomercato.com, working with a site called ilbianconero.com is stating that Allegri told friends in his native Livorno that he’ll be joining Arsenal.

In addition, the sites are claiming that Roma Coach Luciano Spalletti is being lined-up as the man to take over at Juve.

The tactician is out of contract at the end of the season, and is yet to sign an extension.

However, President Andrea Agnelli could veto any potential deal, as he was angered by Spalletti rejecting the Old Lady while he was at Zenit St Petersburg.

The story should be treated with caution, however, as while Calciomercato is an established source, ilbianconero.com is largely unknown in Italy.

Heres the google translate from ilbianconero.com

With friends you can afford the luxury to confide and also to let off steam. It sometimes happens that certain utterances are so dramatically important to the point of overflow thus becoming the subject of public discussion. All this, of course, always with the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise, or when both the individual concerned to decide.
Livorno is a city in which he lives people hardly sends word. Pranksters, maybe, but not the gossips Livorno are very direct and proud. If you are aware of a secret they know to guard carefully protecting the protagonist of a story that could destabilize a certain environment.
Massimiliano Allegri, despite his nomadic condition of the profession, he never severed the umbilical cord that ties him to the place where he was born and raised . Just manages to carve out some small space to handle its private returns to Livorno where he can count on a good number of friends. During his last visit to the mood of the Juventus coach he was not the best. The "case" Bonucci, even though they are officially closed for the daily news, had left its mark.
So, galley a good dinner by the convivial atmosphere, the Max still furious is the luxury of the outburst is allowed at the end of which he voiced his declaration of intent with respect to his future professional next. Winning all that remains in the current season to be able to write the last pages and then greet the legendary Juventus. Destination England and, more precisely, the Arsenal, where Arsene Wenger has now had its day, after twenty years of the London club management. The "secret" was too greedy to stay armored. Also in Livorno.
Albeit having to use verbs with time in the conditional, because in football there is hardly a "real truth" until proven otherwise, we not struggle to believe that the incoming voice entourage Livorno technician is not a rumor, if anything, a subliminal message deliberately directed to leaders Juventus who with their more formal attitude that does not have substantial as it were "mortified" the authority of the same Allegri compared to the old guard Juventus group. A situation of clear co-existence "unarmed" which in any case will not put at risk the achievement of objectives that are in the mood to both the technical and both players. No one would be so foolish as to harakiri for ethical reasons.
Allegri's decision, against which we like to remember that we de Ilbianconero.com together with colleagues from Calciomercato.com we were the first to give notice, he fatally accelerated search operations in the part of leaders Juventus aimed at a new investiture for the bench for the next (and hopefully, next) season. Sifting reasonably the rose of eligible candidates in the end seems to have remained a far more plausible name. To Luciano Spalletti , whose waiting attitude towards the Roma that would immediately snatch the signing of a new contract extension and is furious at his hesitation would confirm the technical Giallorossi will to change air.
Outdated assumptions of Paulo Sousa trapped by 'purple impasse, of Simeon , seen by Juventus fans like smoke and mirrors, of Gasperini , judged inadequate for the management of samples a bit' too spoiled, the same Baggio , more like a dream the impossible moment, the figure of Luciano Spalletti appears really to be the most credible in all respects. A "short" that the same Tuscan, while technical shielding behind assorted lines and mannered, he never dared to deny either directly and that he would have his most loyal friends confessed to being happy to accept. As for Allegri and the "case" Bonucci, also behind the possible and now almost certain professional union with Juventus would us the bulky figure of Francesco Totti and even his wife Ilary would no longer whose "psychological weight" and Spalletti image able to stand together with the climate of continuous struggle in use in the capital by the assorted media.
A Marotta, Nedved and Paratici, oriented towards the solution described above, now there would not be a problem to solve. That which belongs to a certain hostility of thought nourished by President Andrea Agnelli against the coach Giallorossi. The number one Juventus player would strongly Spalletti years ago, before engaging Allegri. At that time the coach was linked to Zenit St. Petersburg and, while expressing appreciation, is denied to Juventus. It seems, then, that Andrea Agnelli yet has never digested the waste and that, for this reason, any resistance on the figure of who was guilty of "high treason". It's up to Marotta explain well to his employer why things then went that way. In Russia, in fact, the company's philosophy of football clubs is very different from that to which we are accustomed in 'Italian turncoats. The contracts are sacred and as such should be respected to the end, unless unbearable sanctions for anyone who wanted to disregard the undertaking given. Once you understand that the president must certainly give its 'no objection' and Juventus, and Lippi after Allegri, he will have its third Tuscan coach.

:D Agnelli's had a hard on for Spaletti ever since he laid his eyes on his bold head in 2014

oh no, not "friends" :scared:

but seriously, Arsenal won't even sack Wenger. He'll be there forever as a convenient scapegoat to deflect blame away from the board and he has no dignity so he'll accept it.
