:agree:

Blaming refs is just one way of living in denial like Inter and their fans do.

Also imagine if Cuadrado had put that easy tap in in the back of the net to make it 0-3 before half time. Or Morata putting his chance over the bar right after second half resumed.

Or if Allegri dint make the stupid decision of subbing out Morata for Mandzukic. Or finally if Evra had just cleared the ball.

Utter stupidity blaming the ref on that game imo. We had that tie in the palm of our hands. We let it slip away ourselves.

1 point out of the relegation zone with 14 matches left. 6 team all within 2 points at the very bottom.

Sunderland, Crystal Palace, Hull, Leicester, Swansea, Middlesborough

I must confess, I really want Leicester relegated this year. It will be so much better laughing at the PL if a team went from Championship Division (broke records with their comeback to avoid relegation the first season up) to winning the title 2 years later, to relegation the very next season

Tinpot league @Bianconero81 :p
All leagues are pretty much Tinpot Leagues nowadays. I remember the glory days of the mid 90s and the early turn of the century when it was more difficult to win both at home, and in Europe. Now, you can pretty much bet your house on Real, Barca, and Bayern reaching the semis of the CL every year, Juventus winning Serie A, Bayern The Bundesliga, and one of Barca or Real La Liga. The only reason the Premier League is "competitive," aside from all the marketing and hoopla, is because of the dearth of quality and the plethora of overrated players.

I don't like Pep, because he is a spineless gutless coward; however, the man's pinky finger alone has accomplished more in its storied career than the entirety of Sarri and Spaletti combined. Spaletti is an eternal loser, a gentleman a la Ranier perhaps, but a loser nonetheless (hey, at least Ranier finally won something of note). As for Sarri, it is still too early to hail him as a savior and "the great one" as he hasn't accomplished jack-shit in his, thus far, incredibly brief Serie A career.

@pitbull a counter question. Would you say that Sarri, after he lost Higuain during the summer and his replacement got hurt, found a role for a player who was mostly on the bench under Benitez and in Sarris 1st season, where he can perform at such a high level? At the same time, Pep has a WC striker who scored for fun for years, and has him underperform so much that a 19 yo (granted, a very talented one) is benching him (where did I hear that before?)? Another example of how Sarri is able to do more with less when compared
I asked because I was wondering if you knee jerk only on coaches or players too, you still didnt answer my question if Mertens is a better player than Aguero.

It took some time for your beloved Sarri, Napoli dropped loads of points in Serie A and CL after losing Milik

Pep is like the the peregrine falcon, the fastest animal in the world but only in a very specific setting, it has to nosedive to reach its speed of 390km/h, if the conditions aren't optimal the peregrine falcon gets eaten by golden eagles, great horned owls or even ravens.
Safe spaces were created for people like Pep.

He still made an inferior player perform on a higher level than Kun under Pep. And as the last ~6 years show, its not because of Aguero

As for the answer, players have this thing called form, good players can get outperformed by inferior players, it happens. Mertens is in better form and is outperforming Aguero this season, same way Sarri is running his team better than Pep his
