The defensive work he puts in should automatically make him a starter over Pjaca. His defensive work is the reason we can play with that many attackers. Not to mention he is a great target man (see his assist today). Id love to see Pjaca play, but lets be honest here folks, no way is he gonna be ahead of any of Dybala, Mario or Higuain.
Pjaca puts in a lot of hard work as well, and as a LW/LM he is much better than Mandzu.

Its hard to bench Mandzu in the form he is in, but the team will be even better with Pjaca as LM. Its his natural position and when he is fully fit he is going to be one of the best in that position.

Nah. They initially used 4-3-1-2 but once they signed Pandev, they switched to 4-2-3-1 with Eto'o and Pandev on the wings. Perhaps LWB is an exaggeration but you get what I mean... Eto'o was sacrificed to make the formation more balanced.

In the same vein, I don't have a problem with Mandzu starting games as long as he's used in a role like today. Both him and Cuadrado contributed immensely to our pressing game today and both protected their flank hence why the setup looked good.
I think that was come to all us when saw that formation but if we wanna copy that formation it should be with Dybala-Pjanic-Mandzu like Pandev-Sneijder-Etoo so we could play Cheesio-Khedira as double pivot and Rincon as first sub option. That could actually work in UCL if Chiello return to his old level or we play Rugani instead.

Inter against Farca in Milan it was the first time I saw Pep Farca struggled so much against any team... we will see

I wouldn't play Dybala out wide as we won't get the best out of him. Cuadrado is perfect for that wide role while Pjanić can continue to play in the pivot and be influential while Dybala supports Higuain upfront a la Sneijder-Milito

Well we are gonna have to dominate games completely in UCL or our attacking players would have to sacrifice like hell cuz It looks very unlikely Khedira-Pjanic could handle top teams MF (Bayern, RM, Atlético, Farca)

Guy was their top scorer that season and they just give him away but keep Henry. Before they signed Ibra i read some rumors about them having a deal with Villa but for some reason didnt get him and went for Ibra (giving away Etoo in the process). Then they sell Ibra and get Villa the year after. Idiots could have had a Villa Etoo Messi attack with prime Xavi and Iniesta behind. Im not complaining tho, love it whenever they fuck up

Buffon
Licht-Bonucci-Chiellini-Sandro
Marchisio-Pjanić
Cuadrado-Dybala-Mandzukic
Higuaín

This might be a bold formation but this might work. Mandzukic used at LW today reminded me of how Mourinho used Eto'o at LWB when Inter won their treble.

In games against better teams I'm pretty sure Allegri will take a more cautious approach though. But the above lineup would be great to use against scrub teams.

Agree with that.
I agree with your lineup, I'd only put Pjanič on the right, Marchisio on the left and maybe put Barza instead of Lichtstainer at RB. IMO it can also work against top teams if the players are really dedicated to their tasks.

Mandzukic would be useless and he's not a type of player to be played on that position. That would be a waste and if we're planning to use him there then I'd rather sell him and get a proper winger.

People trying to fit him in anywhere says pretty much everything.

Don't kid yourself, we're not gonna find him a new spot just for the sake of it, he's not 19 or young enough like Marchisio was to test him out pretty much everywhere. There's no way he'd workout to be a good midfielder nor he has the qualities to be a winger.

If he's not good enough to be a stariker, which he is, or if he's not happy with the bench/rotation then he should be sold.

He is good enough to be a striker, which he has shown throughout his career with the likes of Wolfsburg, Bayern, Atletico, Juve and Croatia. Yesterday he played as a winger and was probably the best player on the field along with Pjanic so again not sure why someone would claim he is useless there.

someone mentioned Mourinho's Inter that won the treble in 2009, Jose had a similar conundrum with two of his best players Samuel Eto'O and Diego Milito being CF's, to have both in his starting 11 he used Eto'O as an attacking winger and it improved the team. besides it's not just people, our coach also wants to field all 3 of Dybala, Higuain and Mandžukič, he's been mentioning this every now and then this season

I never said that people were retards. I just believe it's not going to work. I even rate Allegri pretty high, but I think that's just wrong.

I'd also say Eto'o is a much better player and has different characteristics, so sliding with that makes more sense IMO.

The best formation with Mandzukic would imo be the old fashioned 4-4-2, with classic wingers like back in the days when we had Nedved and Camo, while he plays next to Del Piero/Dybala type of player.

But both Mandzukic and Higuain in a 3 man line up? It's just... no. Well, let's see, it's just my take on it. I don't see it working even if they shine against some crappy team, I think it would be obvious how bad/wrong it is when fielded against top teams.

I love it how Max trolled tuZ dacdical experds here. "We need more muscle in midfield" they say, so Max put Pjanic and Sami as the only CMs. "Higuain and Mandzukic can't play together", yet Max fielded both once again. "The only position Mandzukic fits is CF (ideally with two wingers because all he can do is heading the ball)", so Max used him as LWF lol. Just perfect.
