Allegri: 'Mature Juventus'
By Football Italia staff

Max Allegri saw “maturity” from Juventus in their 3-0 win away to Empoli, “even if we can improve and move the ball better.”

It was all square at the Castellani until the 65th minute, sparking a flurry of three goals in a five-minute period.

“The lads did very well today in a difficult arena and the pitch was slippery too. We allowed a few too many counter-attacks because we didn’t finalise our moves properly,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“It was a different game after the break, as after the opening goal it all became much easier. We need to improve, but in terms of performance this was better.

“I liked the maturity shown by the lads in controlling the match after going 3-0 up, even if we can improve and move the ball around better.

“We ran a few risks at the back because we were a little stretched out between the lines. In midfield we don’t have strong defensive figures right now, so in some cases it’s important to slow the tempo and control it.

“This squad has only been together really for 40 days, what with the various breaks for international duty. Winning games is all that counts and the rest is idle chatter.

“I am very happy with Miralem Pjanic’s performance today. He made some important passes, remained concentrated throughout and gave quality to our football.”

we played for once with 2 very ofensive wingers.

We were telling him and he listened.
We've done this a number of times this year. Alex Sandro and Dani Alves have played together multiple times. We have won every single match those 2 have started together.

We lost to Inter when Dani Alves didn't play. We drew Sevilla when Alex Sandro didn't play.

Evra and Licht should really never play anymore when we use 3-5-2. They just don't have the offensive abilities to make the formation work. In a back 4, they might be alright as fullbacks with less attacking responsibility. But as WBs they just offer nothing going forward and it hamstrings the formation.

Alves-Sandro is fantastic though. As is Cuadrado-Sandro.

these were also our two biggest games so far so I wouldnt put too much weight on licht or evra playing those games. Licht did score afterall.

Licht scored, but on the whole we created almost nothing from his side. Same deal with Evra when he has played. They just don't offer anything going forward anymore. I like them both as FBs, but they aren't really wingbacks against top competition anymore. It asks too much of them.

Licht and Evra IMO are Cup material already.

They have nobusinesses in games that we want to tin... but could be of use when we want to close the game.

Sadly them, our 352 depends a lot on wingplay, and they cant offer that.

Allegri: «Tridente Pjaca, Higuain e Dybala? Quando sarà il momento che riterrò opportuno per schierarlo lo farò. Pjaca sta crescendo molto e sono contento: è un cambio importante così come Cuadrado. Sono giocatori che quando entrano sono in grado di spezzare le gare».

Sorry for the translation, I only know basics in italian. "Forward line of Pjaca, Higuain and Dybala? When it will be a good moment to do it, I will. Pjaca is improving a lot and I'm happy. It was an important change (substitution?) and just as Cuadrado, those are the type of players that change matches once they're fielded."
This is all i want to hear. We find a way to introduce Pjaca in our starting line up...and if at the same time we keep things compact at the back, we will be a monstrous team.

IMO Pjaca is the missing piece n this team in terms of attacking options....

A trident? it would be nice to be honest. Im pretty sure we can find a way to implement a 433 with great defensive solidity and that devastating trident upfront.

But well, as long a Allegri has that option in consideration is a win. I think Pjaca himself will haste that process because the guy seems to be sooo good that he will leave allegri with no choice soon. Copa games could a a good start
