Lemina needs to play in front of the defense. It's no coincidence that we have looked better when he has played there. Pjanic needs to be closer to goal and do what he does best. This will enable Dybala to play closer to goal. Our strikers were far too isolated. I'd be tempted to try Pjaca in that LCM position however, he has the dynamism to be effective there, play more as Pogba did, hug the wing.

If dybala has to play this close to the midfield Higuain has to play if we do that as he attacks the space and runs in behind.
Not sure thats enoughy. Dybala playing this close to the midfield would only work if we are effectively playing 4-2-3-1

Cuadrado - Dybala - Pjaca behind Higuain. Tons of space on the wing would make it much harder to surround Dybala like they did yesterday. But you'd need Pjanic in order to reach them.

Like this, Pjanic on regista would work cause Dybala is closer and he has double wings to reach, and he can move up in attack.

Who's next though? I don't think Allegri will stay here more than 2 years from now regardless whether he wins CL.

I am divided between two major names: Zidane and Guardiola. I like Sousa too!
I like Allegri. You know, the current manager.

Well, yeah. Nothing really to disagree with in the first part.

Pjaca seems like a bit of stretch. Dude's young and not the terrier we needed last night. Would have been bossed by the Inter midfield.

My problem with a lot of the 3-5-2 shit posting (not all of it), is the idea that A happened 'cause of B (3-5-2, Lichtsteiner starting etc.).

But if we start with a similar lineup against Cagliari and take home a solid win, then what? (this is not targeted towards you btw.)
"It's only Cagliari."

What formation did Allegri use against Sassuolo that made every hater so incredibly overconfident ?

Plz, i need dis info guyse
It's one game and its fucking Sassulo FFS.

We will win the Scudetto player whatever formation we wants, there is no competition.

The aim is the CL and we aint winning it with the 3-5-2, probably we won't win it playing 4 at the back. But we sure have a better chance.

Allegri is slowly turning to another Conte. Playing is safe, late subs, no risks at all, afraid of changing.

The best football in the Allegri era imo was played in 2014/2015 right after Christmas when Pirlo was injured and he went with the 4-3-1-2. Pereyra was the AM with Pogba, Vidal and Marchsio behind him. Tevez and Morata were deadly on the counter.

All of those names are gone now (including the injured Marchisio), so 3-5-2 is the safe option for now. My only question is, now that we have Alves and a settled Alex Sandro in additon to Pjanic. Maybe we should give it a go. 3 bruisers behind Pjanic. Dybala would not have to come back to the mid circle to start attacks all by himself. Might work.

Same sassuolo that shat all over Bilbao 3 days later ?

Same Sassuolo that causes us issues each year ? And is been talked up by media by its 'remarcable campaing' ?

Our 3-5-52 is amazing

Finally some sense...
I am having fun reading few posts here TBH questioning Allegri's choices and tactics when it's a fact that he is the best Italian coach at this moment and the most tactical.

Just like last year, it's a matter of time until he dominates again and hopefully in Europe soon.
