Pogba spent a significant part of last year performing fairly poorly, especially during the slump at the start of the season.
Was he the only one? The team look unbalanced until Allegri reversed to 3-5-2. The team and players underperforming in the first few months was on more on Allegri. IMHO

Injuries as well played its part, where it's difficult to show your best when you have Padoin and Sturaro by your side, as opposed to having both Marchisio and Khedira. If the roles were reversed and Marchisio had to play with aforementioned duo, it would hardly be any different.

It took Pogba a while to perform well even alongside Marchisio/Khedira, whereas Marchisio did slot into the team effortlessly and I thought the team looked much more comfortable every time he was on the pitch. It was around March time where Pogba started consistently playing to his ability and looking dominant, and he carried that over the last few months. Paul's form is still erratic which is something he'll work on.

That's why it would be stupid to leave the club right now, if he goes to United, he'd have to get adjusted to new surroundings again, it will take ages for him to get some sort of consistency, especially if he has to play a CDM role.

No matter the way you spin it he racked up 24 g&a and it wasn't only in the last few months. By far and away he's our best midfielder and to replace that kind of end product will be more difficult than any other mid we have.

Pogba stopped beeing extremely bad somewhere in december and started performing late january/early february

I was defending the guy in october that he would find form, and i knew people would forgot about it if he did

Pogba racked the grand majority during the last 3 months.

At the end he was scoring assisting 1.5 per game.

At the start of the season he might get some assist once in a while

Its really no discussion.

I can't recall being so excited for a season to start as I am this summer.

Max is gonna have a massive selection headache for all the right reasons.

I don't know what I'm trying to spin, but Pogba lacks the consistency to be that valuable to Juventus currently. That run of games around April where he was getting an assist+goal a game were a huge contrast to his early season form where he didn't look half that player.

When he was putting these numbers and the performances it was when we needed them most, it was these points that we got that made us grab hold of the table, remember how close the race was when he was doing that.

You're trying to spin that Marchisio is more essential for us than Pogba. Which is nonsense.
