Allegri is perfect for this club. Conte was a difficult man to deal with from the Management's point of view.
Allegri has a lot going for him. Tactically he is a superior coach to Conte. Conte was perhaps more meticulous on things like set plays and perhaps more of a motivator. But with guys like Buffon, Marchisio and Bonucci in the dressing room - motivation is largely taken care of. Allegri also looks like he has a good rapport with the players and the establishment. He is a rather nice guy too. If you had to choose between having dinner with Allegri or Conte, I think I would choose Allegri as Conte is likely to bitch about how we cannot afford a nicer meal! haha

Dont forget though that it was Conte who have built this team and ended the catastrophic spiral we were dealing with in post serie B era.
He was the one that brought order to chaos and cured any pathology we were suffering from.
He was the ones who convinced that we can be competitive again!
The road was largely set for Allegri to follow, he could suck miserably, but he was prooved a great maintenance coach, with some certain strong points that was better than Conte; sub decisions, rotating and squad handling to name a few.

I'm a huge fan of Allegri too, but I do think he's a bit passive as a company guy. What I mean is he can tend to be a bit of a yes man for the management vis a vis a Conte who is a bit more extreme and can throw a tantrum or two. It happened to him at Milan and it kind of happened to him here as well when we didn't get him the AM he wanted last summer. I'm not a fan of Conte's method of doing things necessarily, but Allegri should be a little more forthright with his views with the management, coz I think it'll help the club move forward in a more constructive manner rather than accept every move for what it is.
Thank god, we have someone other then coaches that picks players and improves club. Coaches come and go as they please (as is evident with conte, ofcourse not everyone is a rotten as him but...) so for stability it's better that people responsible with for this are not coaches. Of course Marotta needs to work together with Allegri on this and I'm sure he does.
All in all this is certainly not an are we should be worried about, just look where it got us. We are one of the best managed clubs in europe, but if we would havel istened to a maniac like conte, we would probably be bankrupt by now and most likely with nothing to show excluding seria a. Because it's easy to throw tantrums like buy me 3 ronaldos and then I can compete. But when you're a terrible coach even then you wouldn't win anything, but at least you would get your ass covered from all angles then.

How did you make all that conclusion of him being a yes man? The situation in Milan was out of control, and he didn't have much of a choice did he?
And how do you know Allegri is not a little more forthright with the management? The only difference between him and Conte which makes you think or believe he's ballsless is because Conte was bitching literally in media and press when Juve crushed out in Europe stating the fact that Juve needs a lot of money to do well in Europe, Allegri is smarter and knows where to take this to and knows what he's capable of.

I actually think it's harsh to suggest all Conte can do is shout and bawl, most of his players say he's very meticulous.
I think I've said before: Allegri couldn't have done what Conte did, Conte couldn't have done what Allegri did (i.e Champions League final).

Those are good things, but they can also result in being dogmatic and causing burnout with the players. Last season on the way to the CL final, Allegri changed a bunch of players and we lost at Parma. I'm not saying Max was happy to lose that game, but it was a risk he was willing to take to have players fresh for Monaco in midweek.
Max has also used 3-5-2, 4-3-1-2 and 4-3-3.
Compare that to 2013-14, when Conte kept playing the same players every week even though we were trying to win the Europa League. And always 3-5-2.
Serie A we went from 102 points to 87, but we won the Coppa and reached the CL final.
