Alongside Simeone, he is the best coach in the world. He's doing amazing things with this club. He's the new Lippi.
Simeone is better in my books. His start to his career is as emphatic if not better than Mourinho's. I wonder if after coaching inter, he too will become a mediocre manager.

We have more talented players and are a bigger and richer club than ATM so having the second best manager out there is amazing. I would really fear his team more if he coaches a galactico team otherwise I dont see ATM as really better than us despite how consistently impressive they are.

he should let this defensive approach go away.recently he got outsmarted by mancini in second leg of copa , first half of the frst leg and second half of the second leg against bayern , and boffun saved his ass against Milan and Fiorentina.

with these player under his belt we should be able to hold on the ball more than faking 30sec in opposition half but we never manged to do that against top teams in the league and Europe qnd last night game was another example of it.

I disagree. We simply do not have the resources (yet) to play against the likes of Bayern as controlling and offensively as they do. We do it week in week out in Serie A because our midfield is miles ahead of anything else in Italy but against the likes of Bayern, I am quite impressed and happy with the fact that Allegri adjusted his tactics to counter Bayern rather than attempt to play them using the same strategy we use in Italy. Conte tried doing that and deployed his normal 3-5-2 but Bayern were too good and we failed. He later on changed tactics when facing Madrid and almost got the result. One of my problems with Pep is that he plays his game regardless of opposition and it backfired the last 2 seasons and almost backfired this season.

With an inferior squad to Bayern's, Allegri's tactical brilliance cancelled out their superiority and we were at worst Bayern's equal. Bear in mind we also lacked Marchisio and Dybala and so asking a coach to dominate bayern with hernanes is quite the task.

Against Inter we were not outsmarted in the second leg. We had the wrong mental approach to the game and went in thinking we already won. Allegri can improve on that aspect (in keeping the players focused even when it seems the result is in the bag) but tactically I see allegri as brilliant. Last night was also a mental preparation problem because the scudetto was in the bag and the biggest evidence for that was Bonnuci taking stupid unnecessary risks. Its complacency.
Allegri strikes me like a guy who learns from his mistakes and our squad is young full of players who will learn to keep fighting until the final whistle with more experience. Buffon stayed in the game until the last second and saved the result.

I don't disagree with this kind of assessment but as I've said before, somehow juventus is stuck at that reactive mentality when facing teams that are able to impose their will and play style against us, when such did happen we quickly fall back into ultra defensive mode and unable to break away from pressure.

This happened under lippi, capello and conte too so it's not exactly coach's faults but more like the mentality of the club as a whole and probably signified by the fact that we are usually only have few players with excellent technical abilities while the rest of the players are more grinta based players.

I'll grant you Capello because he was a very negative coach but Conte played defensive only against Madrid. We tried to impose our game-plan against Bayern but failed. Until we have the a galactico squad, we will most likely and rightfully try to counter them rather than impose our game. Wait for more money and for Marotta to continue adding pieces that Allegri will nurture and we will be much better over time.

I don't remember what it was like under Lippi since I was too young, but from the highlights that I have seen of our big matches against Barca, Madrid, Milan, United etc.. I didn't get the impression that we were played counter attacking football only. Sure we never played Pep style football but we weren't Di Matteo football either

Allegri has been awesome since day one.

He knows what he wants, he knows what this team can do, he make them believe and even if things go wrong, he doesn't panic but calmly takes the team back on track.

It wasn't easy to do well this year with over 9 new players in the team, we almost knocked Bayern out, the title is in the pocket and the coppa is close.

Here you go, Allegri already realized that and we will improve.

"I believe that regardless of tactical systems, we have to improve our control of the ball when under pressure and in the lead. We mustn’t lose the ball in a banal manner, so that is what we need to work on in certain moments of the match.

“Otherwise we create excessive pressure on ourselves that can be avoided.

“We can improve the players we’ve got and help them reach maturity, as for example we were naïve against Bayern Munich when in control of the situation."

I liked how he said that next years we should be aiming to win the CL. And that's the objective.

If we keep our stars and get 1 or 2 good or world class players, i am sure we will win one in the next 2 or 3 years...

Hopefully we do. It has to be said Juve is one of the best managed clubs in recent years.

What strikes me quite a lot lately is the fact the club is serious about young players preferably in 21-23 age so even if we don't win it in 2-3 years from now, we should have players that will enter their prime age exactly in that time. So if we manage to keep it untouched we should win it sooner or later.
