Lebrón is the best basketball player by far. Curry won everything last year. Who was the best? Curry

Again. Team sport, winning is the only thing It matters. As you said, if you took out three games of messi that season , you would see he just showed up against mediocre teams...

I brought Jordán, maradona, cuz you don't get It. If you are the best, you have to stand up when It matters most. Thats why you are the best. 2010 messi didn't do It just one time. Period
What are you talking about? Curry was the best basketball player last year. PER, True shooting %, Win Shares, all the metrics favoured Curry, Westbrook, and Harden over Lebron last year. Lebron may be the best basketball player overall from the last 10 years, but he wasn't the best last year, and taking winning into account isn't necessary at all.

Messi in 2010 was by far the best player in football. That year. His team won stuff. La Liga. And in dominant fashion. Messi scored 7 goals in 6 games against the teams who finished 2,3,4. He also scored 6 knockout goals in the CL even if his team didn't win. The Ballon d'Or goes to best player. Not best player on the team that won the most. The fact you don't understand this is pretty silly.

And modern football has moved far away from emphasis on National Team football that was inherent in the past. Messi will be seen as top 3 player of all-time no matter what he does with Argentina, by many he'll be seen as best of all time. Champion's League football is far better than international football at this point. CL winning teams would destroy world cup winning teams. And Messi has scored or assisted in every single CL final he's played in. He's won 3 of them, by ze way.

Let me try with basket. Jordán is the best cuz he was the best + makes his Team the best... Lebrón isn't the best cuz he's the best but he doesn't make his Team the best... could you see It? Remember this, if messi doesn't win anything important with his NT, maradona would be consider by far a best player than messi... The only fucking thing that matters in Futbol is Victory...

Answer this: I bet almost all people here could name last 5 champions in europe cup and world cup. Now answer this: who was MVP? Who score most?

Messi and CR7 are gonna be next to distefano if they don't win anything with his NT. Not around maradona or pele
They will never be anywhere near Maradona. Maradona won the World Cup with a weak Argentina team, and won two scudetti with friggin Napoli, at a time when Serie B was stronger than most other European leagues, never mind Serie A. And not strong as in La Liga strong, strong as in even the likes of Brescia and Lecce had world-class players in their ranks.

Champion's League over World Cup and it's really not close in terms of level of play. The fact you don't understand this is quite telling. Any of the 4-5 top club teams in Europe would destroy national teams. Just the fact these players have the advantage of playing with each other everyday and the better understanding this provides dictates this. Plus, club teams aren't limited by weaknesses in national pool of players. For example Spain's forwards in 2010 and 2012, Germany's defence in 2014, Argentina's defence in 2010, Brazil's forwards since 2002. Etc.

Get a grip. The fact you are talking about winning shows you know absolutely nothing about Messi. 3 CL titles. 7 La Ligas, 3 Copa Del Reys, 3 UEFA super cups, 3 Club World Cups, 6 Spanish Supercopas.

And an Olympic gold medal with Argentina.

lets take a look at another player that often gets forgotten for that 2010 year. its always Messi, Sneijder and Xavi that get most credit for that year but Robben always gets forgotten. he carried a much weaker team (at that time) than Messis Barca and was probably the most influential player to any winning team of that season.

1st, CL. got Bayern past Fiorentina with his moment of brilliance. got Bayern past Manchester with his moment of brilliance. got Bayern the crucial win in the 1st game vs Lyon with his moment of brilliance. lost the final but that was without Ribery, who knows how it would end if he was available.

2nd, BL. Bayern was anything but impressive that season. they won the league with only 70 pts, by a 5 pts margin (Schalke lost and drew the last 2 games, Bayern won the last 2 games which made the difference). the last game in Berlin Robben scored 2 goals at 1-1, and assisted for the 1st. other than that (taking only games played in 2010 into consideration), scored the winning goal against 3rd placed Bremen away at 2-2, scored 2 vs Freiburg when they were 1-0 down, 1st assisted then scored vs 5th placed Dortmund when his team was down 1-0, scored the only goal in a 1-1 draw away at 4th placed Leverkusen. had 12 goals and 3 assists in 15 BL games that half a year, with most of them being crucial in winning a very tight league race. all this while struggling with some injuries.

but Bayern won another trophy that season, the DFB Pokal. they mostly faced teams from 2nd BL up until semifinal, where they played 2nd placed Schalke. the game went to overtime and guess who decided it with his goal. Robben. they won 4-0 vs Bremen in the final later where Robben also scored the opening goal. he struggled with injuries at the WC but still played 4 ko games and scored two goals, in a 2-1 win vs Slovakia (r. 16) and in a 3-2 win vs Uruguay (SF).

now, im sure you can find impressive stats for Messi too for that year, they would most likely outshine those of Robben, but the fact that he literally alone carried that team to a CL final and a double win in Germany, unlike Messi who thrived on the best team in the world (8 Barcelona players on that Spain WC winning team, including the key members of the team, Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Villa), makes him my personal choice for the best player that year. how he finished 14th!!! in the voting that year ill never understand

Carlo Ancelotti, once the greatest knight in all the lands of Europe and whatever country the CWC was held in.
Serving in the legendary Calcio Cavalry of the new decade, spreading the One True Tactics of Calcio all across Europe, defeating all of Calcio's many, many enemies with his magic eyebrow, bedding the fairest maiden across all the leagues - Andrea Birlo, definitely not throwing away huge leads, he was an unrivaled prodigy who was to usher in a new era of peace, love, and appreciation of tactics.

But then, after the unspeakable tragedy known only as Calcioboli passed, he was lured into the brainless marketing football-rugby side, by the English and Spanish sorcerers, with offers of dirty oil money and clean referees. Calcio had lost her favorite son. Thus began a dark era of stats inflation and shit defending.

When all hope was seemingly lost, suddenly, there emerged a man from Livorno. A simple man, known only as Max Alleger at that time, distinguished only by his possession of the fabled and historied shield named "Serie A Manager of the Year", and a keen desire to learn the all-but-forgotten philosophy known as "Tactics".
For years, actually 3, he faithfully served under the royal kingdom of B*ilan, yes, the same B*ilan that was once the flag that adorned Ancelotti's all conquering Christmas Tree lance, now a shithouse of incompetence and Bolis. Despite showing unparalleled promise and leading them onto the forefront of Calcio, he was disgracefully shunned aside from B*ilan, ousted by traitor Ancelotti loyalists Shitdorf and Bibbo.
Enter Juventus. The most decorated kingdom across all of Italia, and beloved by Italians everywhere and one Indian mod. Recently having been robbed of their wealth by the False Calshio kingdom of Printer, they had been a directionless and mocked people, before they met their savior.

Max, now reborn as the EuroMax, savior of Calcio, armed with an indestructible 4-3-1-2 and the fair maiden Birlo by his side, has annihilated Borussia Germania and also AS Monaco, and now faces his greatest enemy yet - the evil empire of Real Madshit, led by none other than Darth Ansh*tlotti.

For 3 years I have wondered why my friends kept calling Allegri for Augustus. I couldn't sleep at nights thinking about it. I've been sitting at my desk for hours every week trying to figure it out, coming up with calculations and formulas that weren't correct. Then it hit me, the answer was right in front me all time but I didn't notice it. Augustus was the greatest emperor of the Roman Empire, owning almost all of europe. People loved him. People feared him. It's the same with Allegri, although we know him better as Euromaxx. Allegri, greatest coach in the world at the moment, people love him. People fear him. We need to understand that. Allegri 4 life

And why my female friend keep calling Allegri for Peter North I dont need to figure out.
