The Hernanes purchase looks increasingly disappointing, as the guy really doesn't have the pace nor passing to play the treq role here. Unless we play slow possession style like you say. But Allegri's tactical style has never really seemed to thrive in that type of system. He seems to like much more rapid attacking, vertical football when going forward.
I like Hernanes and think he should be useful for Juve, but he shouldn't have been signed if Allegri didn't think he'd be useful.

That general idea of Allegri's preferences is fair, but he hasn't spent much time playing like that with Juve. We aren't dealing with three defensive midfielders and direct play to three forwards like it was at Milan.

So are Juve to play in Allegri's more typical style or more in the style of last season?

There's certainly a lack of identity about the side just now.

I find his lack of willingness to give a single system/line-up some continuity quite troubling. Even with the injuries. Give 2 or 3 of our attackers a run of games to see if they can establish form together. Give 1 formation a run of games. Stop tinkering every single game.
Yeah, if you don't have a clear, systematic plan of attack, you have to give players the chance to form some kind of understanding with each other.

I guess Allegri is messing around, desperately hoping for a pair to show something to justify sticking with them, but none of them are doing it.

The lack of an adequate RB with Licht and Caceres out made a 4 man back line pretty tough to play well also.
That undoubtedly makes it very hard to play a back four without Cuadrado on the right to provide the width.

I think in the absence of Marchisio pulling the strings Hernanes is our best chance. He is no Pirlo thats for sure but I think he ca do the basics better than Lemina. This might not work against top opposition that will pressure him heavily but at least against small teams our midfield should click without marchisio. He is our best vice-marchisio as sad as that is.

Also no more 3-5-2 especially without marchisio. Its too regista dependent. Stick to 4-3-1-2.

How could you? Marotta did what he had to do and gave Allegri a fantastic squad. It's 100% on Allegri, if he can't make these talented players who ooze leadership and winner mentality tick then he has to go. He should resign if he had a gram of dignity and apologize for Marotta for making a mess out of the fantastic summer that Marotta did.

He would probably come if we were any club but Juventus. He is the best option by far.
He said something like we were the only Team he wouldn't lead ever again

It's not about Vidal and Tevez, it's about reference points and leaders on the pitch. There aren't any.
Because Allegri is clueless. Nine players, who almost won the treble last season, looking like headless chickens has nothing to do with missing leadership on the field. Allegri had Conte's team last season and did some fantastic adjustments - respect. But this year, when he has to "start" his own team, he fails miserably. Him going back to the 5-3-2 says it all.

Allegri is a pretender.. he inherited a top squad from Conte and has managed to dismantle it in 18 months .. if the club is serious theyll bring Conte back otherwise things will continue to decline.. Serie A head office has got what it wanted a new serie A champion for 15-16
