IMO Allegri couldn't have done what Conte did, in taking a 7th placed team to unbeaten champions.

I also think Conte couldn't have done what Allegri has done, in having us two games from a treble.

It's not that one is "better", they're just different.

Conte's manic energy and sheer force of will was what we needed to get back to the top. I don't think Allegri could have pushed that team to the Scudetto, and without losing too. Remember, we still had frickin' Borriello, while Milan had Zlatan!

Once we were back at the top, we needed Allegri's calmer, more considered approach to make that final step. Conte couldn't take losing any game, and doggedly stuck to his ideas. It's in some ways his biggest strength and his biggest weakness.

I think we needed a Coach who was willing to lose the odd game in Serie A, change system and play with less intensity sometimes to compete on three fronts at once.

why would he be mad? he can take credit for laying the foundations of what this team is today
Because wasn't part of the reason why he left, threatened to leave even, was because we couldn't land players to take Juve further in Europe? Or was his excuse of "needing a new challenge" the bait we are all supposed to take hook, line and sinker?

Well, Juve DID get players to go further in Europe. He just chose not to stick around. But that is his problem, not ours.

But who even gives a shit at this point. Seriously.

And in all honesty, Cam, YOU are one of them who is constantly making sure the fire keeps burning on this topic. Bitching about how the Conte thread is not open is your way of Making sure this topic keeps coming up.

Fucking stop it already, little brother

Let's just all get along. We can play Allegri's favourite game "finger-in-the-bum" (he used to play with Gio, as Gio had the delicate little fingers EuroMax likes best)... It will bring a new level of solidarity to us Tuzzers!

OHHH I remember this game! But now Little Gio is gone...I think he uses Coman now as he has soft, young and brittle fingers

True. He does prefer the adolescent types, or so I've heard...

Agree with most of this but tactically Allegri is miles ahead of Conte.

It wasn't just down to the calm approach that Allegri instilled on the team. Conte's stubbornness persisting with 5-3-2 and playing dire attacking football was the real problem We were under achieving in Europe.

We offered very little in attack with Conte's system and never troubled teams enough.

One was a Hardcore Motivator (Conte) the other Pure Tactician (Allegri) simple as that.
