It was not directed at you but posts generally.

I think it's quite sad how first half of the thread is covered with 'our ex coach is better' while other half is sliced into 2 of 'they are similar' 'Allegri is better'. But it's just posts like that with no arguments whatsoever. Even if they are, majority of people is literally blind and forget what Conte actually achieved here and it's pretty shameful how all of that is forgotten. And I'm not even bitter, nor I'm here to defend our ex coach, I'm just saying that majority of thread (especially in the last couple of months) is filled with crap that's not related to this thread but pure mockery of our past. Not only that, but it's quite sad how Allegri's thread is not filled with formation/tactical input, counter game or ANYTHING related to his work here. Sure, there were posts that were good enough, but I'm just starting to wonder if people will ever let it go and keep discussing present and relevant stuff rather than bringing back old stuff and not even for the sake of argument but pity laughs or whatever it is.
And you know why the last couple months of this thread has been about this debate? Because for the first 3-4 months this thread went unregulated with constant bashing of Allegri and the Board for appointing him.

So, how can you flip the table on people feeling one way but have allowed it in the beginning for so long?

- - - Updated - - -

You folks gotta understand you won't have so many lopsided debates with two completely polarized conflicts if the regulating (which is completely fine, mind you) is more consistent.

I could go back to the beginning part of this thread and quote PLENTY of nonsensical posts that had no leadership regulating it at the time.

Now, all of the sudden, there is over-regulation.

If you guys banned people immediately for trolling on the subject IF they don't offer a valid argument behind their post in a costructive manner then might see some positive changes (And I'd start with myself because I'd probably be the first to be banned if that was the case). Nothing wrong with how people feel but completely cutting them off by closing the thread then yelling at them when they have no where to discuss it is another issue.

Nowhere. Conte thread was closed with a reason as it was full of rubbish posts, just like this thread here for big part of it.
Well I was blocked from the Conte thread for some time now so I honestly haven't seen it or paid attention to it.

Because when Allegri came it was debatable whether or not it was a good move. There was nothing to pinpoint how people are wrong, plus season was not on so it went like that, which was quite natural as we lost a coach who won 3 consecutive Scudetti here so majority was pissed for a long time. Also, back then it was rage from majority of people so thread ban for them would solve nothing. But now after some time and when we've all seen how Allegri good is we kept going on about it with posts that are simply pollution the thread, which can be avoided. What do you expect from posts like

:lol Conte

 what would Conte say now

 he left us

 he had no wingers

I personally doing see any good thing out of it. And it's minority of people that keeps brining that stuff up which leads to very retarded arguments that make this place sound like Inter forum at the very best.

Judging by your logic this argument should be alive even in 5 years. Because it's going to as relevant as it's now.

You are arguing against what you are EXACTLY doing in your signature. Do you realize that? :D

And now, we are still in year 1 of Allegri and it is common knowledge Conte was unhappy with certain things so its still fresh on everyone's mind. 5 years, who cares. That's not the argument.

No, but seriously, it's been almost 1 year since we signed Allegri. How is it naturally and normal to see this thread filled with Conte's name?

And no, solution is not having Conte's thread, simply because it would be a horrible thread and big disrespect towards him.

Because his thread is closed.

But like you see Vidal's name pop up in other players threads or any other player for that matter. I think we have been around long enough to know that there is never even close to a 100% success rate of the thread topic to actual be on topic.

And like I said: open the thread and ban people instantly for trolling. It isn't that difficult.

Forza Alegri

I've made my points. You guys are the mods so you do what you guys think you need to do. I've always supported all of you while others claim this is some kind of police state.

you all have my vote.

Actually, if anything, Vidal thing has pretty much disappeared as everyone now realize he's pure quality. And most of the time even while mention you see people comparing skills, workrate etc. which is pretty decent to read.

I can't ban you.

I've done my fair share of silly posting about Conte. So I'm not one to speak on this issue. But your post definitely makes sense.

I don't know. I think the occasional joke about Conte is fine. Or well-thought out posts criticizing his flaws. It's the same thing with our players, like Marchisio, Vidal, Bonucci, etc. Bonuccin' around was funny. Vidal's partying. Marchisio's ghost-like presence. Pirlo's terrifying lack of defensive ability.

It's when it gets excessive that it becomes a problem. Or incessant pointless trolling and/or bashing of these players/coaches.

Conversely, we just had 5 pages of Dai movie and book and song titles, and it ended appropriately as it was starting to get way too silly.

Oh well. I'd like to see the Conte thread reopened at some point. I like that he came out and offered congratulations to us, with no "but", no conditions, no deflection, just pure and sincere compliments to this team, coach, and management. That's class. I think a lot of people were waiting for him to do something like this.

Conte:
how fuckin' embarrassing dude should just retire and never return, ever:rofl::rofl:
It's pretty ungrateful if you forget that a large reason for our success alongside Allegri's success is the fact that he inherited a solid core of players with a strong mentality, and credit for that should go to Conte as well. Allegri's wouldn't have got us this far in this manner if it wasn't for a solid foundation that he got to work with.

Don't get the Conte extreme hate.

Hard to not post about Conte when the Conte thread is closed.

Unless the mods ban the topic of Conte completely where else would you like people to post about Conte?
Agreed.

But I don't want to.

It's not about bans. It's about having a bigger and more reasonable community.
Well said.

It's over.

Gone.

Forget it now. It's been in the past since the middle of last July. He congratulated the club, which was what some of us were hoping for. There's nothing left to complain about now, unless we are now going to bitch about it possibly not being congratulatory enough.
