You were there I remember you saying. That must have sucked, watching us lose against those pathetic fuckers.
Yep, it was shocking. Cause I honestly believed we were one of the best sides around - if not the best side. Incredible that Capello couldn't do better with that amazing Juve lineup in Europe.

Is that not the perfect description of the man?!

I've softened in my stance towards him lately though. I want good karma surrounding me.

Boys always remember

Carlo Ancelotti, once the greatest knight in all the lands of Europe and whatever country the CWC was held in.
Serving in the legendary Calcio Cavalry of the new decade, spreading the One True Tactics of Calcio all across Europe, defeating all of Calcio’s many, many enemies with his magic eyebrow, bedding the fairest maiden across all the leagues – Andrea Birlo, definitely not throwing away huge leads, he was an unrivaled prodigy who was to usher in a new era of peace, love, and appreciation of tactics.

But then, after the unspeakable tragedy known only as Calcioboli passed, he was lured into the brainless marketing football-rugby side, by the English and Spanish sorcerers, with offers of dirty oil money and clean referees. Calcio had lost her favorite son. Thus began a dark era of stats inflation and shit defending.

When all hope was seemingly lost, suddenly, there emerged a man from Livorno. A simple man, known only as Max Alleger at that time, distinguished only by his possession of the fabled and historied shield named "Serie A Manager of the Year", and a keen desire to learn the all-but-forgotten philosophy known as "Tactics".
For years, actually 3, he faithfully served under the royal kingdom of B*ilan, yes, the same B*ilan that was once the flag that adorned Ancelotti’s all conquering Christmas Tree lance, now a shithouse of incompetence and Bolis. Despite showing unparalleled promise and leading them onto the forefront of Calcio, he was disgracefully shunned aside from B*ilan, ousted by traitor Ancelotti loyalists Shitdorf and Bibbo.
Enter Juventus. The most decorated kingdom across all of Italia, and beloved by Italians everywhere and one Indian mod. Recently having been robbed of their wealth by the False Calshio kingdom of Printer, they had been a directionless and mocked people, before they met their savior.

Max, now reborn as the EuroMax, savior of Calcio, armed with an indestructible 4-3-1-2 and the fair maiden Birlo by his side, has annihilated Borussia Germania and also AS Monaco, and now faces his greatest enemy yet – the evil empire of Real Madshit, led by none other than Darth Ansh*tlotti.

To be fair, a lot of our players during Capello were past their prime. Nedved, Del Piero, Vieira etc. It was a pretty good team and we did play a bit ugly, but it wasn't as good as many Juve fans seem to think. Just look at our last season with Lippi, we were awful in all competitions. We could have reached the CL final in 2005 and win it, as we were in good form then, but we blew our chance against Liverpool.

Haha, the haters are out in full force again! Same thing happened when I said that Allegri is a better coach than Conte and he might be good for us and everybody was laughing at me etc. Turned out I was right again!

First of all, I didn't know that Del Piero single-handedly won the World Cup in 2006. Or that just because he scored a goal against Germany, that means he was still at his best. If I remember correctly, he wasn't even a key player in that team and wasn;t even starting every game. I even remember him already being considered a veteran by a lot of people back then. He's always been a great player, but his last truly great season was 2002/03, I think he was even better in 2001/02. I'd say his prime/peak was definitely in the 90s.

I can easily say the same about Nedved, he declined after 2003. I don't remember him having many great games under Capello. Maybe that stupid yellow in the semis against Madrid affected him and he was too disappointed, but anyway. I've never been a huge fan of his, but that's my personal opinion.

Capello didn;t do well with us, but to say that e had some unbeatable, monstrous team, that should have ruled Europe, is a bit of an exaggeration. It was a good team that could have won the CL. But there were teams that were better than us imo, like Barcelona and Chelsea under Mourihno.

I like how you still ignored the fact you said "Alot of players" and to even say Del Piero had past it by the time Capello was in charge is still an idiotic statement considering what he achieved after capello's departure, he was the top goalscorer in Serie A not too long after and you are still saying he was past it? Still what about Cannavaro? Thuram? Zambrotta? Buffon? Emerson? Camoranesi? Ibra? Trezeguet? they were still very good if not world class players

History proving you were right? :touched:

Okay Cronios cousin.

You said Del Piero was past his prime alongside Nedved (which is funny) because he was no where past it, He has scored/assisted vs Roma, Fiorentina, Inter, Milan, Lazio and on international level he was indeed a part of the Lippi's squad, not a key but part, scoring in the semi-final and 4th Penalty in the final and you still think he was past his prime?

Then you say his 2002/03 was great, but in 06-07 and 07-08 he was even better (CL goals with poor squad, top scorer in Serie A) and easily scoring against Inter, Roma, Milan, Fiorentina, Napoli and others and you still think he was past his prime? :lol2:

As for Pavel, I am not even going to defend his stats.

We had a poster, who reads football pretty bad like yourself, he also insists that Buffon was past his prime 04-05. @JCK can tell you about him.
