I remember coming back from the stadium having just smashed parma 4-1 on the opening day, as optimistic as I was about our season ahead and perhaps I got a little carried away at the time for even mentioning the possibility of the scudetto It definitely goes down as the best ever at least of our generation.

That was my favorite game of the last 3 years. We surprisingly played so well and this was before other clubs had figured out how to neutralise our play. Definitely can't hate the man, but a part of me wants him to fail in other places because his departure was so unprofessional and just he was just ungrateful to the club that allowed him to achieve his success. And I want him to come to terms with that other factors played significantly more to our success than he cares admit, good signings and especially the new stadium effect.

Any ways capello's exit from Juve was far more unprofessional, ok he wasn't exactly popular amongst Juve fans but from the fall out of calciopoli and how Capello told the team "I'll see you in June" only to jump ship and fuck off to madrid to me was a bigger betrayal to the club.

Milan defeat against Fiorentina at home maybe decided this title first year under Conte .Saying that, this has nothing to do that Conte does a marvelous job.But actually Alegri more lose that season than Conte won it.

Not true, they dropped points before and after that game. We won that Scudetto on our own merits. The one thing that definitely went against Milan was injuries. Other than that, we were easily a better team (besides their superstar players in Ibra and Silva) and played the best football that season as well (esp when using the 4-3-3)

Capello was always a mercenary, never pretending to be what he isn't and that is a loyal servant to this club. It was well known that he was about to leave if we go down. I couldn't have cared less when he left. Good riddance.

As for Conte he's our legendary player that has spent 13 years here. You'd expect from his kind to stick around even when it becomes tough, like DP, Nedved, Buffon, etc... let alone when you have a very good team and are coming off 3 consecutive titles, while breaking all the records in the process. Puzzling decision and potentially harmful for his career.

Also the club stood by him during the match fixing allegations and decided to wait until his ban expired. We'd taken a great risk at that time, to be led by an assistant, while our image was being further tarnished by constant link to a manager, serving suspension for dishonorable conduct.

Yeah, he definitely had a huge part in our success. We had been stuck in mediocrity for years and due largely to him the club moved up to a level where players think of us as an attractive option and where we have the ability to change coaches without running the risk of becoming like we were. He installed a winning mentality that made us Juve again, we were a serious club again. I don't think a lot of people realise how permanent these levels are especially when you don't have a lot of money to spend on transfers and have to rely on the will of players to push a transfer through. I think that was his biggest contribution (and of course that comes with winning titles).

I know a lot is said about how the players are motivated this season to prove that they can win without Conte, my biggest worry is say we win the league this year then onto next season then what? what will the players have to prove then? Allegri will have an even harder time of motivating his players I fear that as from next season we will see a bit of a decline

A decline would be rather typical. Personally I think we should start selling some of our players, even those who have performed in order to bring in hunger. I also can't stand when, even people who call themselves professionals, talk about the inevitability of cycles. I get that it takes new players time to settle in, but that's why that entire squad/backbone shouldn't be made up of new players. Cycles are for morons who don't continually renew their squads until it's too late. You hear Milan and Inter talking a lot about cycles these days.

To some way, I really think cycles happen, in the form of bad seasons in which ur previously good team stop winning. But to the point of what happening woth milan and inter, not. Thats pure stupidity indeed
