I think just because the game was open and Milan attacked all game. He didn't want to risk 3-2 with more than a few minutes left, which is fair enough.

After all, Milan's was one of the better attacking units we will face, as sad as that is to say. Honda-Cerci-Bonaventura-Pazzini is pretty dangerous if you let them play, and we did too often.

That's true about Milan, they attack with numbers and can be very dangerous and we saw that quite often.
