Agreed.
Personally I love players with tough mentality that's my style but then I see the likes of Lippi back in the days and I say to myself tough mentality is important but tactic genius vision wins you more games.
By the way, Allegri has been immense, and I believe this season is tougher than the last two seasons and he's managing it well.
I also think that this season, the players have more motivation than ever before. For the last several years, the overwhelming opinion was that it was Conte, Conte, Conte who brought Juve the success. Well, if we as fans constantly hear about this, imagine how the players would react.
This was the perfect motivational tool for this season and beyond. For the players to go out and say "Hey, we had something to do with it as well, you know."
A perfect chance to throw up their middle fingers at those who thought it was all about Conte, and no else. That middle finger obviously does not go to Conte himself, but those who predicted doom upon his departure. Granted, there is still a half season left to go, but this is a better, deeper, more athletic squad than last year.
Could you only imagine what could have happened at this time last year if Asamoah was out for practically the whole season so far, Barzagli HAS been out for the whole season so far, and arguably the 2nd best player on the squad (Vidal), playing as poorly, by his standards, as he did in the first 4 months?
Ooof.
