It also depends on the the way you play. Pogba last year for instance didn't have as much freedom as he does now. He was usually sticking to the sidelines, making the pitch as wide as possible so that the pass from the back to one of the strikers was open. Tevez as well mentioned that he has more freedom with Allegri to move around the pitch. This obviously benefits a certain type of players. Not saying that the one is better than the other, but from a spectator's point of view i prefer this Juventus by a huge margin. While i believe Allegri is tactially superior to Conte, the latter's system is all based on discipline automatism.

I don't think Pogba has more freedom due to this tactic. I think he has license to attack more and he is also developing. He is taking Vidal's attacking role.

Tactically I think he always was. Bringing the tough mentality is another story.
Agreed.

Personally I love players with tough mentality that's my style but then I see the likes of Lippi back in the days and I say to myself tough mentality is important but tactic genius vision wins you more games.

By the way, Allegri has been immense, and I believe this season is tougher than the last two seasons and he's managing it well.

Perfectly said. Conte's tactics showed us that he can only take so far with 'tough mentality'.

I really like his interviews. He seems to be much more level headed than Conte.

He seems to be a very reasonable guy.

Highlights from his interview after the game against Chievo:

Vidal - "Not only him, in the first half the problem was a bit with everyone. Arturo got angry with the substition and it's OK. From what I've seen until we scored, I should have substitued also many of his colleagues. There's no Vidal case, it was all settled and cleared up in the lockeroom. He went off becuase we had 2 midfielders with a yellow card: him and Marchisio. Vidal is so generous, while Marchisio is more reflexive, so I decided that way. Also I needed more width, so we went to 352 with Licth"

Pereyra as a trequartista: "He started well the season, then dropped, now he's upping again"

Sturaro: "If he arrives, we are settled at the midfield"

Morata: "I'm satisfied with his performance, even though he didn't score. Llorente has played many games, I'm happy with what he gave us and will give, but Morata needs to play in order to find self security. LLorente is not being dropped down"

Amazing words. He was perfect approaching Vidal's sub and Morata and Llorente's situation.

By the way, Allegri has been immense, and I believe this season is tougher than the last two seasons and he's managing it well.
I also think that this season, the players have more motivation than ever before. For the last several years, the overwhelming opinion was that it was Conte, Conte, Conte who brought Juve the success. Well, if we as fans constantly hear about this, imagine how the players would react.

This was the perfect motivational tool for this season and beyond. For the players to go out and say "Hey, we had something to do with it as well, you know."

A perfect chance to throw up their middle fingers at those who thought it was all about Conte, and no else. That middle finger obviously does not go to Conte himself, but those who predicted doom upon his departure. Granted, there is still a half season left to go, but this is a better, deeper, more athletic squad than last year.

Could you only imagine what could have happened at this time last year if Asamoah was out for practically the whole season so far, Barzagli HAS been out for the whole season so far, and arguably the 2nd best player on the squad (Vidal), playing as poorly, by his standards, as he did in the first 4 months?

Ooof.
