If we approach some of our remaining games against weaker opposition like we did last night, boy are we going to be in big trouble.

For now, Tevez is there to pull the strings, but as soon as these teams figure out a way to neutralize him, keep him at bay or just decide to punch him and knock him down for 90 minutes, we will have a hard time breaking the opposition with 3 CB's in the team.

Hopefully Allegri won't be stubborn as Conte was.
To be honest, we were a bit unlucky. Evra had that dream ball played into the 6 yard box where we came close and Licht had a couple brain farts that should have been goals. We could have easily won 4-0 last night.

Peluso or Padoin for Evra around 75min would have been a good choice. Evra was tired in the last 10-15min and Peluso would have covered just as good.

There's a difference man, Peluso starting the match and Peluso coming on last 10-15min for tired legs, he would have covered well, Peluso is not my main point here, it's just that sometimes subs should be made earlier no need to milk their sweats when you have a good bench.

And this "The most important thing is that we won" makes me want to slap you :D, keep your standards up, small details in these type of matches matter.

Small details won the game though. :D

I STILL think taking Licht off because he was spent energy wise was a good decision. Tevez gave us 2 goals and risking maybe an injury rather than let him finish I think was a good decision.

We played our 2nd game in 3 days with a very big match this weekend. He took off our most key players probably to either give em a rest or not risk an injury in a game we were easily controlling.

I see no issues with his subs yesterday. Of course I would have loved to see them sooner but they at least made sense to me.
Sorry but i hardly see any rest in subbing a player in the 85th minute.

Who cares when he made subs ffs  We won the game, and it's been a while since we started CL with a solid win. The rest is irrelevant. Whole two pages about this nonsense. :sergio:

you are forgetting our other weapons.

coman has shown how his direct running can toruble teams, so he can be a weapon. morata looks promising, and llorente won us many games. so you dont have to worry about juve's attack sturggling when teez gets shut down.

then you forget the fact that we have vidal and pogba. both who score a lot of goals and assist a lot too. you also forgot we are missing a major source of creativity in pirlo.

we have way too many quaity players that if tevez gets shutdown, there are others who can step up

Well, you don't always know how long injury time might last either.

Statements like that are great.

All coaches usually make subs earlier than Allegri did last night, including Allegri.

But that doesn't mean it is always necessary/desirable to make subs earlier than Allegri did last night.

You have to look at each game individually to see what is required.

I had no issue with how Allegri handled the substitutions last night.
Lets pierce the bullshit posts about substituting with this excellent one.

Was there a reason to sub earlyer ? Absolutely not. NUFF SAID.

If this was a league game, we could talk about giving benchplayers time, taking off players cause opponents got a crazy motherfucking Immobile injurying your players, trying out a small tweak to your current formation, getting a player off who's yellow and not backing down, etc

This was a priority game. No quarters. No subs unless neccecary.

Oh I agree 100%.

I was happy with Allegri's choices overall. Of course I would have liked to have seen them sooner but I know why he took as long as he did.
