That was his plan. Give your adversary the ball but allow them to do nothing with it. Press? Against Borussia? Talk about suicide. I'll tell you this, the ONLY way to get further in the CL with the team we have is that way.

Sit deep, let the adversary have possession and use the pace of our strikers in counter attacks as ways to find goals. It's not pussy, it's what needs to be done. And by my counts we missed quite a few good chances, minus Chiellini fuck up we'd have had a nice win and without the need to take big risks.

I mentioned in the match thread that I liked what I saw, we sat deep and allowed Dortmund possession but at the same time we did not let them create, our defensive plan was really well deployed but when we let a goal in things got complicated and we had to go for a goal.
Chiellini's brain farting really messed us up, i'm amazed we found the strength to score again.

It's really really SAD that every fucking time there will be somebody making an individual mistake that costs us dearly, everytime it's a big important match. Chiellini, Caceres, Bonucci, Pirlo... As i said with the players we have there are no other choices. Collectively we're strong, so we have to play deep and go for quick builds up/long balls using pace.

One cannot but notice how this team improved by leaps and bounds compared to last season when it comes to European matches. We lacked confidence above anything else and Allegri was the right man to instill confidence among our ranks. His tactics and player selection has been spot on, for the most part of this season. I must say that I really didn't expect us to win last night. Continual underwhelming performances in Europe made its toll. After we conceded it looked like a typical Juve's European game, nice start and a good team effort only for someone to make ridiculous error that will ultimately compromise the objective. Was rather surprised that we hit back and scored another one before half time. After that second goal I really think, or like to think that our players started believing more in themselves, in their abilities, as their talent was never questionable.

Really liked the way we fight after being level....i was like 'here we go again'.... but What I don’t get tho is how our fuck ups in Europe seem to happen against the run of play( right after we got the goal we wanted). It happened against Madrid, Benefica in da luz and last night. It seems we don’t soak up pressure really well, wither the storm and maximize our advantage. and that's important to do business in Europe .....I hope it don’t become our undoing in the re4turn leg. desperately want to exorcise the '97 demon out of me...those fuclkers still haunt me ...there i have said my piece

I loved the guy but hated his attitude, I am just glad we have Max now and wouldn't swap him for any coach in the world right now. Never thought i would hear myself say that because i used to think he was terrible at Milan. I never rated him until i seen what he could do with us.
Don't be ridiculous.

His defensive tactics were almost flawless. Very organized and collective like, the back 4 worked together at almost all times. I'm starting to believe we stand a chance of surprising everybody and going much further than expected.

At matches like this you see why he's better than Conte ever was. Keep it up, boss!
Wow I didn't expect a statement like this from you tbh. If we go past Dortmund we need to get another 'easier' rival (some other team than Madrid, Barca, Bayern or Chelsea) - otherwise we'll be out. We're still not good enough IMO as we still can't keep the possession comfortably. We're too far behind on technical level in comparison to most teams that are left in this competition. We still look shaky with the ball and individual errors like Chiellini's one happen too often.

Overall we took a huge step forward in comparison to what we presented under Conte in Europe though. I didn't expect Allegri to do so well and he actually did things I never thought he'd be capable of doing - improving our possession play (when being pressed) but also our counter-attacking ability which is very important in Europe and huge asset to us. I thought he'd refuse to adapt to BVB just like Conte kept doing but did actually the opposite. He prepared the match perfectly and can't be blamed for Chiellini's blunder whatsoever. The only thing I didn't like was starting Pirlo and forcing Vidal to play as AM. Other than that he really did his homework.

Cerci in the national team... he has been a nomad for over a year now  el shwarma has been on and off with injuries for years again. As i said it doesnt really stretch beyond zaza and giovinco so i dont see how its Conte's fault.

Ironically prandelli tried and tested the 4-3-1-2 and 4-3-3 with Italy and looked terrible whilst I can recall members of this forum hoping that Italy would switch to a 3-5-2 or similar as it suited them better, namely when Italy played Spain
Dude you're wrong. To prove Conte's stubbornness I need to drop just one name: Veratti. He's the biggest Italian talent out there and he still doesn't see any room for the guy in his team.

I'm thankful to Conte for what he did as he was amazing here but he left on his own with conviction this team couldn't go any further. So far it looks like he was wrong and the only one being unable to do it was him.

If it was Conte on our bench last night winning this game you'd be fapping like there was no tomorrow. Since it's Allegri you keep on complaining. Try to be more objective.

Stubbornness... the same stubbornness as that of allegri's when he is insistent on Vidal playing the AMC role when he clearly doesn't suit it? or the same stubbornness when he is so insistent on playing Llorente nearly every game when Morata is clearly the bigger threat going forward? or how he gives Coman 2 minutes to show his worth? or how allegri seems to make his substitutes at the wrong time? I could go on, but to say Conte is stubborn and allegri isn't is utter rubbish, in fact I ask you to name me one manager in the world who isn't remotely stubborn?

Dude you're knocking the wrong door. I never liked Allegri and I most probably never will but give the man the well deserved credit.

I complained about Allegri's stubbornness multiple times here but he's not even close to Conte in that matter. Yes I don't like the fact he kept on playing Llorente for so long as well as forcing Vidal out of position. What can I do though?

Brining up the Coman argument proves you're desperate to prove your point which you partly have but don't try to be ridiculous. Coman is far from ready to be anything more than a bench youngster. Talking about Allegr's subs yet Conte was no better at it.
