There is always a language barrier for every foreign coach, unless he spent significant amount of time in Italy, whether as a player or is fluent for some other reason. We don't need a coach that will need a translator standing beside him, that would be disastrous. Imagine that kind of guy holding preparations before the game, or during the course of the game giving them instructions. Not feasible. Milan learned that lesson rather well.
That language barrier argument is really outdated.

All top English clubs have 0 problem with foreigner managers for years now. Madrid, Barcelona, PSG even Bayern Munich did it !

One of the main reasons for the decline of the Serie A in the past 10-15 is exactly that mentality. English clubs have learned that lesson 20 years ago and since then they've been in the rise and Italians been heading south.

hes confused coz he just saw hamsik walk behind llorente :p
:lol2:

People realized it's time to move on and to stick with the ones that stayed.
What people are really protesting isn't Allegri. It's Conte leaving. Let's not kid ourselves.

Why not? Conte was suggesting the club needed motivation after three straight scudetti. What helps put a chip on your shoulder than to be on a team where everyone is telling you that you're not that good without your old manager?

But legitimately,
people are way to hard on him, our coach deserves more respect.
The funny thing is if this was 5 years ago and we were ditching the likes of Zaccheroni or Delneri, the reaction would be different.

So what's the point in saying it? A foreign coach is not the answer all the time just as an italian coach is not an answer all the time. However, when you look at a coach amongst Italians and foreigners you would see yourself looking at a wider variety with more options for succes whereas when you limit your searching to Italian managers your selection decreases automatically.
Because some drop it around here as if that was the solution and it would have been great

The major issue is that italy didnt evolve to the phase where you learn english.

Players hardly speak a word english. Most of the trainers are the same.

I never get the pathetic attitude of dubbing everything in your native language. I'm a fluent english speaker thanks to cartoons, series, movies and games before i ever got a course in it

A lot of Italians speak English and almost fluently. We are just very proud of our heritage, language and national identity. We take deep pride in it. Now in Italia they are even teaching the dialects in school as they were being lost

Dude thats not true.

I've come in contact with quite a bit of italians and they'll all tell you that the grand majority doesnt know a fuck english

If you hear players talk in english, from a written note, you can hear they dont know what it means, same for plenty of coaches
