Thats why I'm posting this in the Allegri thread, huge wtf to not change this utter misshap very early, instead waited til late sub.

And Pogba is alltogether another matter, and another big issue for Allegri since he doesnt seem to know how to use him too.
I think Allegri and his staff get the majority of the blame then marotta for a sub par Mercato and finally Pogba who is looking more and more overratted

A lot of those passes were dangerous and only just successful, lucky to have not been intercepted. The thing is, most of his passes were backward or lateral passes that added nothing to build up play. He doesn't need to make Pirloesque long passes to players through on goal but should at least spread the ball to stretch defenses, play the ball forward to an attacker who can hold up play in the opposition half or play the pill into space that players can run into to break Napoli's high press. But he barely attempted to do that and by passing left, right and backwards we remained in the stranglehold of Napoli's press as panic slowly but surely set in. His pass that led to Higuain's goal was just another unimaginative pass. It wasn't risky or daring. It was just an absolute poo water pass that should have been easy (albeit us useless to any attempt to bring the ball closer to our goal). My point is, even as he took the easy route, he still risked Napoli counter attacks regularly.

I sympathise with him, he never expected to join the 3x champs and take us to the brink of a treble only to have our pathetic upper management settle for mediocrity and fuck his squad in the ass. However whilst he was doing great with a great squad he's failing to get anywhere near the best out of the average one we currently have.

He only won because it was Contes team. All of those complaining about our players. We're loosing to teams with worse rosters. The team isn't the issue

Yes, he was pressed by the TWO opponents, it was gameplan by Sarri, but not only this - also when you have absolutely inert Evra and Padoin on the wings and Lemina and Pogba who doesn't move around at all it's hard to start the attacks properly, our team were moving like a $#@!, it wasn't mechanism, it was a chaotic movement all across the field
Yes but look at the contrast between him and Lemina (yes, I know Napoli were tiring by this time). Part of playing that role is about holding the ball off pressing opponents - riding challenges and coming out on top. Lemina was able to use his body and technique to maneuver himself past whoever was pressing him and get in positions to make constructive passes. Hernanes didn't seem to have the physicality or technique to so. So he took the easy way out.

That's funny because Conte had Conte's team too and got us to a QF where we used the absolute worst formation possible against a GOAT Bayern team who abused our flanks, and a group stage exit.

Our team isn't the issue? In what fucking world do you weaken a title winning squad without even pretending to try and improve it? I'll tell you where, Juve world. Where having a slightly better finance sheet is 10x more important than trying to carry on winning.

It's not as if this is a repeat of his first and second year at Milan. Apart from Hernanes, Marotta made some quality buys that can offer a lot more than they are now. Allegri just has to be smart enough to make it work and you don't do that by making concession on fielding your best players to fit a preferred tactical system.

Allegri got the right match ups with the right tactics. As of now his tactics are confused, player selection nonsense and injury rate ludicrous

Tevez and Arturo were the secret brah, same as Ibra and Silva were the secret at Milan. without special players, he is a terrible coach.
