Squad was so great everyone expected Juve to do an unbeaten season and to beat Allegri/Ibra's Milan to the title. All the bookies had the odds in our favor. Our own management said we would win it multiple time "We are just on schedule" management famously and repeatedly said. Any decent coach would have delivered the same results

don't know about you but Osman has come across as quite angry of late, probably since the Vidal news if you ask me (yes I was one of those guest viewers)
One of the worst sales we have done as my time as Juve fan, can rationalize it as much as some want, and I get part of it, but bottomline is we lost a huge player, letting him leave is a grave error quality wise, its that simple for me. But I'm not angry, just dissapointed. It soured what could have been a really uplifting time and mercato, because I generally like what I seen so far (with well needed rejuvenation) besides Zaza, and wont fret about the other because I'm convinced we will and must get a good AM.

i totally empathise with this :sigh: though I remain doubtful that we'll actually get a good AM, not entirely convinced draxler is the answer.

No that's not what I was implying. I was implying that maybe Juventus resurgence had a bit more to do with marotta and paratrici assembling a quality squad and maybe a little less with Conte being so great
That's a load of crock and you know it. Italia doesn't play week in and week out, the dynamics of that squad are very different. The mentality they imbibe and the intervals they meet and train at. By the the time the euros come along though, you'll see a bit more of the Conte effect, especially when he gets a month together with the players.

I was about to quote what @Hist said coz that assessment should help you look at it from a different perspective. The correct one.

Draxler at this point woul be great, not because I expect him to immediately to go to guy we need, but it fits perfectly with the rejuvenation process and getting a 21 year old AM who is very dynamic, physical, skillfull and a goal threat with a big upside to become a top player with some patience, its defenitely the kind of gambles we need to take. And exactly why I completely applaude them for getting Dybala this summer, and Morata last, we need to keep up with signings like these. If we get Draxler, besides the monetary sacrifice, depending on how much they demand, I only see upsides in seeing him grow with us, and would make our team alot more explosive.

I agree with you on this my man. I am one of those that really rates Draxler. Although his name isn't as sexy as Gotze, I think his ceiling is very high.

But they really do need to put the money from the Vidal sale to use with the likes of Draxler and Sandro/Kurzawa. Oddly enough in regards to Draxler, I first heard about him three years ago on Fifa 12, as I was scouting for young talents. His name kept popping up, so I tried my best to follow him on TV whenever I had the chance. As far as Sandro, my brother in law is a huge Benfica fan, and he always seemed to have good things to say about Sandro, which speaks volumes considering the hatred between the two clubs.

I will be bitterly disappointed if that money is not used to add a combination of these two players, or two players at those positions that can really add something

He has, he's asked for a number 10, and it's quite clear we're not getting one. If Vidal hadn't had been sold, I would've loved our market, now it's one huge mess.

A trequartista was needed regardless of Vidal being sold. If his sale finances the Treq and LB purchase then I am all for it.

If not, I've already stated I have my pitchfork at the ready

Prior to Vidal being sold. Yes. Now we've got a huge hole to fill.
That hole is potentially being filled by one of Khedira, Asamoah, or the dude in your avatar. If all they had after selling Vidal was Sturaro to move into his spot, I would have lost my mind. Then again, Juve probably wouldn't have sold him if they felt they didn't have an in-house replacement.

And if a #10 type player and a LB come in, they have reshaped the squad to meet Allegri's desire to shape his own type of squad.

If this happens then I can be happy with the Vidal sale.. however if it doesn't, we have big problems.
